Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Product Description
The Koss SportaPro portable headphones offer portability, flexibility, and a headband designed to be worn either atop or behind the head. Equally well suited for use at work or on a jogging trail, the SportaPro's open, foam-covered ear cups allow for ambient environmental sounds to be heard, which can be helpful in a recreational environment.

The SportaPro's weight is a mere 2.2 ounces, and the headphones boast a frequency response of 15 to 25,000 Hz, delivering (on paper, at least) quite a bit more bass than most home speakers can. Impedance is 60 ohms, with less than a 0.2 percent distortion and sensitivity of 103 dB SPL (with a 1 mW signal).

The SportaPro stereophones are collapsible and come with a carrying case, as well as both 0.125-inch and 0.25-inch jacks. Koss covers the headphones with a lifetime warranty.

Product Description
With the SportaPro you can do sports and enjoy music at the same time, even in the crowded place it will be only you who will enjoy the sound fully. Flexible headband design allows listener to wear the headband on top of or behind the head, it is great for active sports or when wearing a cap or hat. The dynamic element design ensures deep bass performance to be well, the foam ear cushions make the sound open and are transparent for sound. They are also collapsible for easy travel and storage.

5 out of 5 stars Great Sound   January 6, 2009
I looked at quite a few headphones for our mp3 player and was overwhelmed with all of the choices. I looked at the reviews online and for what our budget was I kept going back to the Koss PortaPro. HOWEVER, I just did not like the looks of the PortaPro...I called Koss and explained that reviews said the PortaPro had great sound but I didn't really like the looks of them. The lady I spoke with laughed and said, "I was not the only consumer who thought that." I asked what other headphones were close to sound quality and she recommended the SportaPro. She explained that they were the same performance wise but cosmetically were different. After I learned that, I jumped back on Amazon.com and ordered the SportaPro's. Glad I did. To me, these sound Great! Highs and lows sound really good. I have been enjoying since early November 2008. Hope this helps those of you considering budget priced headphones. Oh yeah, another reason these were picked was because they come with a no questions asked Lifetime Warranty.

4 out of 5 stars great headphones; worth the price   December 14, 2008
for 23 dollars, these headphones provide the sound quality of a $200 pair of headphones. absolutely amazing bass and tonal quality, great for relaxing. the only downsides are that they look really weird and they can get uncomfortable depending on how you wear them.
overall, i highly recommend them for anyone who is looking for a good deal.

5 out of 5 stars Greatest workout headphones I have bought   November 8, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

I have used an MP3 player with headphones for my workouts for several years now. I cannot use ear bud types because they just fall out when I move. I don't want to buy expensive over the ear headphones just to sweat all over them but quality inexpensive over the ear headphones seemed impossible to find. The Koss SportaPro is the best choice I have made yet at under 30 dollars. They sound great and the band style along with the pivoting ear pieces keeps them in place. The band pivots for the behind-the-head or over-the-head style. I find the behind-the-head to be a little awkward, probably because I am not used to it, but they do stay in place, which is great for push-ups. I have read that some find them to be ugly but I could care less what they look like and frankly cannot understand that criticism. I highly recommend these headphones for anyone that needs headphones while exercising or any activity.

4 out of 5 stars Koss SportaPro review   November 2, 2008
great product. it works great when jogging. the sound quality is much better than any normal headphones and the price on this is amazing. its not as comfortable as the Koss PortaPro but that is to be expected since it has to stay on your head during a jog.

1 out of 5 stars Lasted a few months... AVOID this one   August 27, 2008

Worked and sounded pretty good for a few months, then the sound became distorted and every bit of bass was missing. I am now shopping for a QUALITY replacement for them.

-Very Disappointed in Koss
