Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The VS2320 two-piece system delivers high quality sound and is easy to set up. Its incredibly convenient design puts controls, a headphone jack, and an MP3 player jack right on your desktop. Specially engineered drivers housed in a ported enclosure deliver a full spectrum of pure, distinct sound. Bass-enhancement technology creates deep bass without a subwoofer. Ultra-convenient controls and jacks are located on the right speaker.

2 out of 5 stars Inexspensive, yet still not a good value   June 8, 2008
I bought these speakers without hearing them because I just wanted basic sound for one of my computers. I had an older Altec Lansing satellite/subwoofer computer speaker system that was only slightly more expensive, so I expected these to sound reasonably good because the older ones sounded quite good for the price. Perhaps my expectations were unrealistic, but I was very disappointed when I hooked them up and started listening to some music. They are very dull and there seems to be some plastic resonance to the sound. Bass is nonexistent. Low midrange is about as low as these will go. Do not expect any "punch" whatsoever. News clips, fine, but music and even movies suffer.

4 out of 5 stars Great Sound   January 18, 2008
I have a pair of these speakers on my computer at work and the sound is a lot better than any others that I have heard. I wanted to purchase them on Amazon but they are cheaper at Staples, only $20.

5 out of 5 stars Great speakers!   October 31, 2007
These speakers have a great sound: crisp and accurate. The entire range bass to treble, is very, very satisfying. They are solidly built with secure electrical connections. Others computer speakers I've had - big name brand - stopped working due to simple lost connection inside the box, which can't be fixed. Others had awful sound. These speakers are fabulous. My only complaint is that they went onto my daughter's computer and not mine. NOT FAIR

4 out of 5 stars Affordable and NICE Sound!   October 30, 2007
Bought some cheesy little speakers to try and save space on my desk...I was able to live with them for a while, but I kept them turned off because they sounded pretty crummy. Harmon Kordon's would have been my first choice but they arent easy to find and they are outrageously expensive.

So I went on the prowl and stumbled across these Altec Lansing Speakers. The sound is VERY nice and you can't beat the price for this quality of sound.

Would highly recommend.

4 out of 5 stars You See and Hear What You Pay For   July 26, 2007
My title for this review is "You See and Hear What You Pay For" in the manner of "What You See Is What You Get" and "You Get What You Pay For." What I mean is that the Altec Lansing VS2320 Speaker System is a good set of computer speakers for a fair price. They aren't the top-of-the-line speakers but since the price isn't top-of-the-line they should not be compared to them. I bought them because they are very simple to set up and use and the price was just right. The aural performance of the Altec Lansing VS2320 is quite good and considering the price it as a great buy.

Of course, if you want a 'megabass' sound then this set of speakers is not for you. But if you want competent, reliable, and easy to use speakers at a great price these are the ones to get. Combined with Altec Lansing's fine reputation, you really can not go wrong. Therefore I can recommend them without reservation.
