Product Description The DB4 has become our most popular model because it is simply the best Mid Range HDTV antenna on the market. With an approximate 13.7 dB gain, it is one of the strongest multi-directional antennas available and performs consistently across the entire UHF spectrum. It even works well in areas where HD transmitters are in multiple directions. The bow tie design of the DB4 uses triangular elements instead of rods to greatly increase the bandwidth allowing it to cover the entire UHF band. Additionally, the mesh reflector of the bowtie is more efficient than a rod reflector, is lower in weight, and provides less wind resistance for greater performance and durability. If you are looking for an antenna that is practically guaranteed to perform, the DB4 is one of your safest choices. It will pull in all UHF frequencies and most higher level VHF frequencies with a range of about 55 miles.

db4 antenna review October 10, 2008 Wanted to watch the Olympics on Wesh Channel 2 in Ocoee. My rabbit ears got better reception than the DB4. I was able to pick up quite a few other channels I couldn't pick up on my normal rabbit ears with the DB4 however. Didn't think it was worth the price and returned it. Great shipping and service though Amazon.com.
DB4 Works October 10, 2008 I purchased the DB4 antenna because the digital signals in my area come from multiple directions (A-leg is at 304-degrees/33-miles, F-leg is at 144-degrees/13-miles). Unfortunately, this "multi-directional antenna does not have a wide enough spectrum to pick up all the channels in this spread. The documentation does not specify how wide the antenna' pick up spectrum is. This would be helpful information. I purchased a Radio Shack VU-90XR VHF/UHF/FM (directional) antenna to augment the DB4. With this combination, I am able to "consistently" pull-in the available analog/digital signals in this area.
I previously used DirecTV satellite service. I ditched it because like cable, they continued to increase their prices, which I no longer wish to pay (I ditched cable some time ago for the same reason). I am pleased with the quality of the "digital" picture I am receiving. The "analog" picture is still snowy and pretty much unwatchable (expected since the DB4 operates in the UHF spectrum).
The antenna is mounted outdoors in place of my satellite dish, and is connected to a Zenith DTT901 converter box and Sharp "analog" TV in my bedroom and a Philips DVDR3545V/37 and Toshiba "analog" TV in my living room. The picture on both TV's is exceptionally sharp (a little softer than a DVD picture), and far exceeds the analog picture.
Great Antenna October 7, 2008 I installed this antenna in my attic over the weekend. The reception is amazing. I live 20 miles away from the nearest transmitter. I plugged it into my HDHomerun, and I'm extremely happy with it. It shows my signal strength is 100% and signal quality is > 90%.
Make sure to follow the directions included with the antenna. I highly recommend this antenna.
Great mid sized antenna October 4, 2008 I love this antenna. I have it placed approx. 20 ft in the air and am receiving Indianapolis stations from a distance of approx. 55 miles. I did have to use an inline amplifier to strengthen the signal (due to the long distance from the source), but the antenna works great to pick up both Indy stations and those broadcasted here in town. Oh and did I mention that I get 65% signal strength with the furthest station (58 miles) and 85% to 97% with every other!

AntennasDirect is really pushing their new series Antenna before crunch time ends before change over.. Beware, I order the $129.00 long range antenna.Great shippping time..and Tracking info... The problem is I received someone's problem. They Box had been open prior, just retaped. Missing screws and the flimsy contact board in connection box was broken at bolt head, not allowing for one half to transmit. It was obvious that the antenna had been put together and taken apart with bent sections and missing hardware. I decided to put it together, due to impatience of wanting to see what it could pull in.After hunting thru the garage for pieces and parts to put it together,I was able to get a few channels from one side..I then sent an email asking to purchase the board or a whole new Black box for connection. It has been almost four days and 7 emails, and still no response.Three calls have been made and they transfer you and then disconnect you..So beware, purchase at own risk, if you need answers or parts, they will not respond. Your best bet is ship it right back... Good Luck!
