Not even close... December 22, 2008 You know you are in trouble when you get a high end mount for a $4000.00 TV and it doesn't even include instructions. A few pictures are provided, but nothing worth your while. I could have gotten beyond the lack of instructions; after all, we all went to collage... But it wouldn't mount a 65 inch TV if it had to. The mounting points on my 65 inch LCD (SHARP) are 25 19/32 from top mount hole to bottom mount hole. This mount caps out at 22 inches. Back to Amazon it goes....
Excellent Mounting System December 16, 2008 I shopped for many different mounts for my 138# 58" Plasma. For the price this one could not be beat. The 3 wall mounting brackets provide infinite adjustment for stud spacing. There are no written directions and I did find one glitch. The mounting holes for the bottom mounting screws are too low and cause the bottom crossbar to interfere with installing the screws straight. To work around, put the screws through the bottom holes in the mounting bracket before screwing them into the wall. This puts the screw head against the bracket so that the crossbar does not obstruct it. There is enough clearance for the screwdriver but not the screw head. There is then no problem installing the upper wall mounting screws. Because I was centering inside existing moldings on the wall, I mounted the wall brackets with the top screws; located the holes for the bottom mounting screws; removed the brackets from the wall; and installed with the bottom screws first before reinstalling the top mounting screws. I plan to mount a 42" in another room using the the duplicate bracket I purchased at the same time. I would recommend this bracket to any handyman.
