Perfect and a must for MOTORHOMES January 7, 2009 If you own a motorhome, you have to have this extender. If you are on Satellite and have a TV outside, you have to go inside to change the channels on your TV. But with this extended you simply change the channels from outside the Motorhome or from anywhere inside the Motorhome. It works fantastic.
Amazing product- receives signal anywhere!! January 6, 2009 This product claims that you can receive a signal and change channels from anywhere in the house, and it works great!! Even better than we were hoping it would.
Very Impressive January 6, 2009 I didn't think it would work but it does. All my components are now housed in a AV media cabinet in my office and all you see now is the plasma on the wall in the family room. Great product.
BTW: my family loves the fact that you no longer need to point at the device to get the remote to work.
Great Product January 6, 2009 We have tried several other remote control extenders, and this one works the best without a doubt. You can use your regular remote, and it works from all over the house (we have used it up to 30 feet away so far with no problem). Unfortunately our satellite receiver and dvd player are on different IR frequencies, so it can really only work with one of them (whichever frequency we set it on, the other one only works if you aim the controller at the RF receiver itself, so it defeats the purpose in our house as our receivers are in a different room from our TV and DVD player).
Genius January 6, 2009 Buy this marvelous device. Now you can rid your living room of that ugly cable box and put it in the utility room where it belongs. It really works! Simply slip the transmitter/battery combo into one of your remote control battery slots, place the emitter in front of the cable box and, voila!, you control your TV from anywhere in the house.
I have had mine for two years. In that time I have had to replace the transmitter once. These are available separately. Otherwise, performance has been trouble-free. Be aware that you have to replace the transmitter battery about every ten days or so. This is no big deal because there is a second battery on constant charge in the base of the emitter. Swap them out and you are ready to go.
Gosh, I wish I was as smart as the guy who invented this!
