Works Great for a Spare TV September 21, 2006 I've had this for a year and a half. It is not my main tv, but it's in my bedroom and I have it on every single night to fall asleep to, which means it runs for at least one to two hours a night (it has a sleep timer which is awesome, so I just set that when I get in bed). So I would say it gets regular use. The picture is very clear. I don't use the VCR regularly, but it's worked perfectly when I have used it.
I don't know if the people who gave it low reviews use this as their main tv and therefore have it on 4-6 hours a day. But as a spare tv with daily use, it's worked very well, just like my other full-sized Toshiba. Did I mention yet hat I love the sleep timer? =) The only thing I haven't figured out is if I can also connect a DVD player to it. I think the answer is no. There are no input/output jacks in the back and of the two on the front, one was for headphones and the other didn't fit so I think it was for speakers or a gaming device.
good while it works December 27, 2005 I loved this tv/vcr and generally love Toshiba products- however- in 9 mos the VCR started not accepting the tape, then chewing up the tapes and of course the warranty from Amazon was out- I was ill and couldn't get it to the Toshiba repair which is 4 towns away from me- i know Toshiba will charge for it. I gues i got 1/2 my money's worth- TV is fine. If you buy it, i suggest taking a service plan.
works temporarily December 7, 2005 This TV was only OK brand new. One year later we're looking to replace it as it is worn out after only average use. After about three months of use it started to falter here and there. Now the picture sometimes turns to a black square that covers about 90% of the screen which you can easily fix by hitting any button but still should not be after only one years use. The sound was hardly decent quality to begin with and has only gotten worse. I cannot reccomend this item.
Great little TV! November 5, 2004 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Just bought it! Works great for a bedroom! Good quality. The only problem I have is that the remote is HUGE. It is almost as big as the tv itself. Other than that, it is a great little tv vcr!
terrific television November 1, 2004 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Very nice picture for a non-flat screen. Settup a breeze. Easy full function remote. TV is in our kitchen/dinette area and is perfect to throw a tape in for the kiddies. Value for the dollar here is unbeatable.
