Excellent Money Saver!! September 21, 2008 Bought this item on a whim one night when my son was depressed about one of his favorite xbox 360 games not working. I was going to spent $20 to send the disc in to have it replaced by the manufacturer, but after trying this solution I am glad I didn't. I was able to fix about 10 other games and movies that he was unable to play as well!! Plus the item is very compact with a compartment to hold the cleaner and buffer pads. I love the simplicity of it all and the pricing. Money saver indeed!
Pretty good device - next time I'll get the motorized one February 22, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I picked this disk repair system up on a whim when at my local electronics super-store. In the last 2 days I have recovered or rejuvenated 34 of my 3 yr old's dvds. All of these were damaged and would not play all of the selections. Several were so badly damaged that they would lock up the dvd player when it was attempting to do the initial read and I would have go to the unit and manually turn it off. Most of the dvd's were badly damaged from being inserted without opening the disk tray (hey - at least she knew where the dvd's were supposed to go) and were heavily scratched. Next time - I'll pay the extra $20 and get the motorized version. This item has already paid for itself several times over in my book. Well worth $20.
it's okay, but not what I needed December 23, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
it's a good system. seems to work as well as it's predecessor without the chance of warping that was a possibility in the previous model. However, I wanted to fix my kids' game cube disks and this has no option for that at all. The accessory for the smaller disks doesn't work with this machine.
