Too Bad.... July 8, 2006 How do you mess up a push-button radio? I have been an electronics/computer geek for about forty years, since I was in junior high school. I'm comfortable with electronic equipment, and I found this piece of junk too irritating to have in the house. The button functions were doubled up in a way that made no sense. The whole interface was way too geeky without the geek charm of eventually making sense if you stick with it.
I don't expect much from Target, but I am old enough to remember when Jensen had a good name.
Poor Quality - CHEAP March 24, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Received this and it was in a ripped box. The volume control didn't work and the tuner didn't work. This was returned immediately. VERY poor quality. Disappointed, but refund was given.
Greatly exceeded my expectations! March 16, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I appreciate the several undercounter appliances I have in my kitchen: an undercounter can opener, coffee maker and GE Spacemaker clock radio. I wanted another clock radio for the bathroom, but I can't seem to find the GE Spacemaker available anywhere. So I found this Jensen radio here on Amazon.
Of all the undercounter appliances I have ever installed, this was by far the easiest, less than 5 minutes to install.
The backlight of the display is a bright red, so it's useful as a kind of night light. And, being red, it won't mess up night vision like a "normal" night light will.
I especially appreciate the way you can preset radio stations, something the more expensive GE Spacemaker in my kitchen can't do.
It certainly isn't a high fidelity radio, but I listen to either NPR, talk radio or news stations exclusively. The sound quality suits me just fine.
I also appreciate the fact that it has a separate FM antenna, a thin black wire, which I maneuvered behind the cabinet to which it is attached. The GE Spacemaker I have, on the other hand, relies on the power cord being the antenna. I don't like that idea, since I didn't want the power cord dangling.
Given the features, I would have been happy paying two or three times as much. But I'm not going to complain about the bargain price I found here. Although I almost didn't buy it because I thought it was a "little too cheap (in price)". I bought it only because I could not find anything else like it (I didn't want or need a CD player, like all of the other alternatives).
The bottom line is, I'm very happy with this product!
Adequate at best November 28, 2005 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
This radio is extremely annoying to operate. Multiple steps to perform the simplest of things (volume, changing stations, etc.) Changing stations takes minutes, as you must scroll through every freq. to get where you want to go, and it is a very slow process. Sound quality is terrible. A very cheap radio for a fair price. Not recommended.

The Jensen JCR-260 under cabinet radio works fine but with some draw backs. The speaker is small and thus sounds small with very little base. The controls for changing AM to FM, changing stations, and going to the pre set memory stations are confusing and take some getting used to. The front LED read out background color is red not blue. The correct measurements are 7"deepx 8 1/2" wide x 1 3/4" thick. For the money the radio works fine and is the only under the counter radio available that I have found that does not have a CD player, which I did not want.
