The SanDisk Sansa c240 will play MP3, WMA, WAV, and protected WMA DRM (digital rights management) music files. The Sansa c240 MP3 player has one gigabyte of built-in flash memory, which allows you to store up to 250 songs (16 hours of playback) in 128 kpbs MP3 format, or up to 500 songs (32 hours of playback) in 64 kbps WMA format.  broken screen August 27, 2008
I ordered this MP3 player for my son's birthday. On the day he opened it the screen was cracked so the figure on the screen was distorted. I called Photoworld, from where it was shipped, and the Customer Service agent was extremely helpful. He told me where to send it and I sent it back. I received a replacement yesterday. I am very pleased with this type of service. Thank you!
 Turns off constantly August 20, 2008
This thing turns off constantly. I'll press the volume and the thing will turn off, I'll move the headphone jack and it will turn off, I tap it lightly it turns off. The sound is fine but quality is horrible. Buy a Sansa e200 series instead.
Junk! August 9, 2008
I bought this unit from Movielover. It had a short to the headphones. I sent it back for a replacement. The replacement has a short to the headphones. I won't use this seller again. Absolute junk.
a bit disappointed August 7, 2008
Had high hopes for this unit-All was fine till playback. Extreme variation in volume between songs-clarity not as good as my Coby 2 gig, which has much less variation in volume and a much cleaner sound.

I BOUGHT THIS ITEM WITH THE INTENTION OF PUTTING A 4GB MICRO SD CARD INTO IT. THE CARD WOULD NOT REGISTER WHEN I PUT IT IN. THIS VERSION IS THE DISCONTINUED VERSION THAT WAS MADE BEFORE THE MICRO SD CARD WAS MADE BIGGER THAN 2 GB. THERE IS A NEW VERSION AND THIS IS ADVERTISED AS THAT BUT IS NOT. IT WILL ONLY EXPAND UP TO 2GB
