2 out of 5 stars Not all that great   August 17, 2008

I purchased 2 of these one for myself and one for my wife and it didn't take long for the problems to develop. The first music I put on them were MP3's from my HD and they copied over with no problem at all. However when I downloaded some music from Amazon and tried to load it on I got an error message. After a call to MP3 customer service I thought I had the problem resolved by doing a copy via WMP. A couple of days later I downloaded some more MP3's from Amazon and when I tried to copy the music on to the player I once again got an error message. I have had no problem with tracks I take off a CD and rip to MP3 using Cool Edit Pro. So for now I have abandoned attempting to use downloaded music. Secondly the players have a serious channel seperation problem. The playback is very heavy to the right channel. I have checked this problem with the ear buds that came with it, some ear buds I bought and head phones all were heavy right on both of the players. Last if you do buy this player invest in some other ear buds or headphones as the ear buds that come with it are very very very tinny. They sound almost like the little earbud that would come with an old transistor radio back in the 60's. If you were a friend of mine looking for an MP3 player I would tell you to avoid this one.

4 out of 5 stars Decent player-not too fancy, so I take it everywhere.   July 30, 2008
I've had my player about 2weeks and so far it's working fine. File transfer is fast and easy. The headphone included are below average, so I'm using a separate, higher quality set. It's withstood being banged around at work and the gym and for the price, I'm pleased.

1 out of 5 stars Garbage   July 24, 2008
I found this product to be garbage. At first I was impressed with the sleek look, but eye candy only goes so far. I actually bought the product because it allowed you to change between a media device and an audio player. What that means is that it will show up as a USB storage device, so I don't have to use special software to copy files to it. I found one problem was everytime I changed the batteries, this setting was lost, so I had to manually go in and switch it back to USB mode. I could deal with that though, but really got me mad was that the play button broke. I only had the player for about 2 months, which doesn't seem very long to me. I tore it apart and tried to fix it the best I could, and it worked for a little while longer but then broke. Also I wasn't very happy with the battery life, it would rip through batteries fairly quickly.

I then got a creative player about the same size as this and have been extremely happy with it.

4 out of 5 stars Great little player for cheap   July 18, 2008
I got this as a mobile MP3, it's great to use while moving around a lot. It holds 2 gigs of music which ends up being about 300-500 songs depending on the size and quality. It does seemingly randomly make the files invisible at times, and I'm not talking invisible with the ability to be shown in the folder (hidden), I mean there will be files on the device that don't show up on explorer. However, this is easily fixed with a quickformat and transferring files to the device doesn't take very long at all. Great portable USB MP3 player for the cheap pricetag.

1 out of 5 stars Didn't even work a month.   July 18, 2008
Title says it all. Got it, put music on it (much of which it failed to recognize) and then after about two weeks of very mild use started showing garbage on the screen whenever I tried to move beyond the last 3-4 songs I'd played. I got robbed.
