Product Description 1/3\ CCD with 460 lines of resolution0.8 lux minimum illumination 3.6mm wide-angle lens"
Amazon.com Product Description The Mace CAM50MH Mini Color Dome Camera is a compact, cost-effective solution for most any remote monitoring needs. Designed to be easily integrated into any custom indoor installation, the Mace CAM50MH has an extremely high resolution, making it an ideal solution for security surveillance, or any other situation requiring 24-hour monitoring. This dome camera utilizes a 0.33-inch color Sony CCD (charge-coupled device) image sensor, with 297,000 effective pixels. The included standard 3.6-millimeter lens is easily interchangeable with lenses from 2.9 to 16-millimeters. The Mace CAM50MH has an excellent resolution of 470 horizontal TVL (TV lines), and achieves a S/N (signal-to-noise) ratio of 45 dB or better. This unit is good in low-light conditions, with a minimum illumination of two Lux in color, and operates on the NTSC signal format. This unit uses a standard composite video output, runs on 12-volts of DC power, and can operate in temperatures as low as zero degrees Celsius. The CAM50MH comes complete with a built-in automatic electronic shutter with speeds ranging from 1/50 to 1/100,000 of a second. Technical Features: - S/N ratio: better than 45 dB
- Sensitivity: 2 Lux in color
- Horizontal resolution: 470 TVL
- Operating temperatures: down to 0 degrees Celsius
- Dimensions: 10.5 cm in diameter and 6.5 cm in depth
The Mace CAM50MH camera is a reliable and high-quality addition to any surveillance system. This camera uses the standard CS/C mount for interchangeable lenses, and is compatible with a wide variety of lens sizes. Users should note that the CCD sensor may become permanently damaged if exposed to long hours of direct sunlight or halogen light, so the camera should not be mounted or pointed directly at the sun or other bright-light sources. About Surveillance Camera Technical Features Lux rating is the measurement used to indicate how sensitive a camera is to light, and stands for the level of light reflected off a piece of paper by a candle from one meter away. Thus a sensitivity of three Lux would mean a camera could generate an acceptable picture of a piece-of-paper-sized object that was illuminated by the equivalent of three candles from one meter away. The lower the Lux level, the better the camera's ability to work in low-light conditions. The camera's resolution should be greater than or equal to the resolution supported by the system's recorder or monitor. The S/N, or signal to noise ratio, is an important measure of a camera's quality. A poor camera, low-light conditions or poor wiring causes "noise" which consumes processing power and disk space. A camera with a wide dynamic range is ideal, especially for recording areas in which both indoor and outdoor light are present. CCD (charge-coupled device) sensors provide high-quality images that are less susceptible to noise. CMOS (complimentary metal-oxide semiconductor) sensors offer less image quality, but are usually more cost-effective and energy efficient. About Dome Cameras A dome camera is one of the most common indoor security camera styles. Mounted on the ceiling, and often designed to be tamper resistant, dome cameras are designed to be visually appealing and more secure than other types of security cameras. A true dome camera enables a continuous 360-degree pan and 90-degree tilt operation, providing for extensive room coverage. One disadvantage of dome cameras is that they usually are not suitable for low-light conditions and must be used in well-lit areas.

| Customer Reviews:
Security camera with no cable or power supply August 8, 2008 I have been buying security cameras for our businesses for 12 years. This is the first time the cameras did not come with cable and power supply. An e-mail to ANTonline returned an auto-reply that implied that they didn't know anything about what they sell. It's easy to be cheap when you only ship half a product.

The only fault I had was it did not come with all the necessary cables for an easy hook up.
