 Total Piece of Junk!! September 2, 2008
I bought this product in spite of all the negative reviews. That was a bad idea. The player worked for about the first 45 minutes we used it, and then it stopped working consistently after that. We put in the first movie which played at first, but then it just froze on the screen and never resumed playing. We turned the unit off and back on and tried to start over. When we did this, the unit decided that it couldn't recognize that there was a disc in the player. We tried several different movies with the same result. We tried the original movie over again and it eventually started to play again. However, it would only play for a few minutes before it would freeze-up again. I thought it was freezing up because of the car ride. However, we plugged it into a TV in the house, and the player did the exact same thing. It is a total piece of junk. I hope Amazon stops selling this unit with so much negative feedback.

Took the chance like some of the reviewers have done. Well, the system went dead in less than a month. We are not heavy DVD viewers (only to keep our toddler occupied on occasions) so we didn't use it a whole lot during the few weeks it worked. Perhaps about 10 - 20 hours of use at most? The thing is, it is a pretty good system when it works. Good picture, sound, ease of use, etc. The shortcomings have been mentioned by others - cord detaches easily, have to start the DVD from the beginning when the car is restarted, etc. So, what did I do? I ordered a replacement unit thru Amazon today in hopes I get one from the "good" batch! Call me a glutton for punishment! If the replacement unit breaks down again within a few weeks, I will never purchase another product from this company again (actually not sure if I will trust this brand either way). I will update on the performance of the replacement unit in a few weeks (hopefully months) if I remember. In the meantime, good luck rolling the dice.

Bought this item prior to 8hr trip to the beach and it worked fine. My 4 yr old watched it the most but I figure before long my 1yr old will also. Easy installation and the wiring was not hard at all to figure out. The screens do feel really lightweight so I hope they hold up but overall I'm happy with this purchase. So much more convenient with the player up front so we can change dvds with less hassle.
Poor worksmanship August 14, 2008
The plugs didn't fit correctly into unit right from the begining. Monitor constantly shut off. Returned for a refund.
Exactly what I was looking for August 9, 2008
This DVD player is exactly what we needed. Two screens and the ability for my 5 year old to put the movie in herself while staying buckled in her seat. Someone from the front seat can also load a movie without having to crawl into the back, or lean over the seat while driving. This was the only player I could find like that. The DVD goes into a unit separate from the screens so it can set on the console, floor etc and reach to the front so someone from the front can control it. Everything works beautifully. We will only use it on long trips (3-4 times a year) so it's only been used once, then we took it out of the car and stored it for the next trip. I'm not anticipating any problems.
