shoddy manufacture August 11, 2008 While the product was still in warranty, the antenna broke. I called Sangean. They gave me a hard time and tried to put me, rather than the product, at fault. When I insisted that the product had neither been dropped nor abused, they agreed to send me a new antenna -- it never arrived. The warranty period just ended. within 1 week the built in earphones stopped working. If this shoddy product is typical of Sangean, I would NOT buy another of their products.
Good little radio August 9, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This radio is easy to use with the preset buttons. It is nice to have the clock too. It only uses two batteries, most radios use more. I live in an area that does not get good reception of radio signals. This radio is about average in this regard.
Poor AM reception, headphone retractor jams July 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this radio to listen to late night radio because it was listed at the best small radio out there. I found that the AM reception is very poor while other radios had clear reception. Even while not very far from the transmitter tower, reception is still full of static and fades in and out. In addition, the retractable headphones no longer wind back into the radio and are thus very annoying, I treat my electronics very well so they last a long time, and this radio has been a big disappointment since it broke by itself. It gets one star due to poor performance and build quality.
Great little radio July 18, 2008 Love this product. I can listen to TV or radio and not bother anyone because of the retractable earphones.
