Amazon.com Product Description The electronic equivalent of a Swiss army knife or Leatherman multipurpose tool, the GPX TVWB534SP packs as many goodies as it can into its stylish, durable housing. The device centers around a 5-inch black-and-white TV--with vertical hold, contrast, and brightness controls--that's great for catching ballgames at a tailgater or keeping kids entertained in the back seat. That's certainly not all, however. The unit also comes with an analog AM/FM radio for listening to music or news reports, an instant weather band receiver that picks up weather alerts and storm warnings, a flashlight and a lantern for lighting up a dreary campsite, and a thermometer that keeps you informed of the outdoor temperature. And is if that's not enough, it even includes an emergency siren and a compass--a couple of handy items should you get lost in the mountains or the countryside. Users who want to pare down their supplies while going on sundown hikes can remove the flashlight from the plastic housing, which makes the light source far more portable. The housing charges the flashlight independently, though the light does require two rechargeable ni-cad batteries (not included). As a lantern, meanwhile, the unit offers a two-way adjustable fluorescent beam that's ideal for reading, eating, or as a general background light. The device is appropriate for a variety of casual and serious uses, from serving as a tailgater accessory, an all-in-one emergency tool for home power failures and natural disasters, a camping gear space-saver (several camping necessities in a single package), and a survival kit for vehicle breakdowns in the desert or a mountain pass. Users have the choice of plugging the TVWB534SP into an AC wall outlet or a DC cigarette lighter adapter, or conversely they can add nine C-size batteries (not included) for portable use. Adding to the unit's convenience is a molded carrying handle and an adjustable/removable shoulder strap for longer totes. The device also includes an audio/video input (for plugging in, say, a portable DVD player), an external antenna jack, and a stereo headphone input. What's in the Box TVWB534SP TV/radio/flashlight, AC adapter, DC cigarette lighter adapter, removable shoulder strap, user's manual.

I bought his for the hotel where I work. They loved it. It took less than a week to receive. We plan to put it with our emergency kit, we're preparing for hurricane season.
Love It and highly reccommend it to others February 3, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We recently had a power outage here in Syracuse, Ny. I was looking forward to watching my favorite show as the power went out. Emergency T.V. is the best!! Although it takes 9 batteries, it sure came in handy. My husband also hooked it up to our cable t.v line and it worked.
