Amazon.com Product Description Crosley Radio founder Powel Crosley was the first U.S. manufacturer to build a production model sports car several decades back, and now the company pays tribute to its founder's grand ambitions with the CR712 Autorama turntable. Housed in a streamlined black chassis that looks like the front grill of a classic '50s roadster, the turntable is designed for vintage car fans, retro freaks, and anyone else who wants an alternative to the soulless, high-tech look. The Autorama is no slouch from a playback perspective, either, with a belt-drive motor that plays 33-1/3, 45, and 78 rpm records, giving you access to both full-length LPs and classic singles collections. Plus, the device comes with a front-loading CD player with 20-track programming and an analog AM/FM radio that picks up your favorite music and news stations. And thanks to the external FM antenna, you'll receive consistently good reception everywhere in the house. Best of all, the Autorama is a completely self-contained unit, with a pair of built-in, full-range stereo speakers. The speakers make this a good bedroom, office, or basement "playroom" system, as you don't need anything more than an electrical outlet to enjoy your LPs or CDs. As an alternative, you can also connect the turntable to a stereo receiver through the auxiliary output. Additional features include several built-in equalizer presets for customizing the audio profile by genre or taste, an extra-precise digital volume control, and a full-function remote control. The CR712 Autorama measures 13.5 by 6.75 by 14 inches (W x H x D) and is backed by a 90-day warranty. What's in the Box Autorama, 45 spindle adapter, diamond-stylus needle, remote control, user's manual.
Product Description Bet you didn't know that Powel Crosley was the first to build a production model sports car in the US. Yes, he's not only the genius who brought us mass produced radios, appliances, and of course WLW - The Nation's Station, but he also became famous for his Crosley automobiles. The Autorama CD represents a vintage icon mimicking the clean, streamlined stylings of a classic 1950's automobile. From the sleek illuminated center dial, to the chrome grill side mounted speakers, this beauty takes you back to the days of drive ins and diners, but adds a hint of technological advance with a CD player. Crosley's fascination with automobiles is evident right down to the last exacting detail. The Autorama features an AM/FM Radio, a 3-speed turntable, a compact disc player and enough sophistication to render most enthusiasts speechless.

| Customer Reviews:
Not worth the money May 8, 2008 I agree with the other reviewers who said the sound quality was extremely poor, not better than a clock radio. I was forced to use external speakers with the unit just to get an acceptable amount of sound. That is until the CD player completely died a year to the day that I bought it. I returned the unit and would not purchase another Crosley product
RETURNED! February 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
First, let me say that I was very pleased with the look of this unit. It "looks" like REAL quality when you remove it from the box. That's about where the pleasure ends though. The radio stations don't program well (oodles of static). The sound quality was really bad and I initially planned to buy external speakers until it stopped working. Yep, I bought this unit as a Christmas gift and in 3 days, the recipient told me she walked over to the unit to hit stop on the playing CD and everything went black. She tells me that the carpet probably caused a charge that killed the unit but she wasn't sure. I sent the Crosley back to Amazon with my CD still held hostage. I was very pleased with Amazon though, they gave me a FULL refund, shipping and return charges included. I would buy OTHER brands from Amazon again.
substandard performance in almost every regard December 14, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This unit has incredibly low fidelity speakers. Not much better sounding than a $30 clock radio. The electronics are pretty cheezy. The power amp only delivers a couple watts per channel. Keep the remote handy because the front panel controls are almost totally useless. All your radio station presets disappear every time you lose power (be it storm or simply unplugging the unit). It just seems like a lot of things you'd take for granted in a $60 boom box are missing in this unit. The turntable is actually one of the better features of the unit, but is is far from audio quality. I wouldn't play any valuable pristine records on it. The CD player is of acceptable quality. It is very cute looking.
Amazon.com continues to be a winner for us February 21, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Our Crosley CR712 Autorama Turntable with the CD Player and AM/FM Radio in Red completes our black and white kitchen with red accents. We have a red Crosely 1957 telephone as well. We love the radio in the morning for the traffic and weather updates and enjoy the CD Player and Turntable when we are preparing those wonderful dishes for the family. It has the perfect volume for the kitchen area and it is so attractive on the counter that everyone notices it when they walk in. Thank you.
