Better Than Most September 6, 2008 I've had my head phones for little over a year now. I found them comfortable to wear and not too trying on the ear drums, which was what I really wanted. All in all, the product I expected. However, less than a month ago some of the screws came out on the left side of the headphones, and the plastic began to crack. The metal bands that run over the head (keeping the ear phones in place) have come loose, and now my headphones resemble a do-it-yourself project. This is unfortunate, because they still work fine.
I'm not giving it a 4 because I'm not sure what caused the cracking and loose screws. However, I will add that up until last month, I was extremely happy with this product, and would have readily recommended it to anyone. I only wish it had lasted longer.
above average for the $$$ value September 1, 2008 Ok so i borrowed this headphones from my friend and i am using for a week. These are good for extended period of use (about 3-4 hrs), have decent sound quality...but i've experienced much much better ones like Razer baracuda hp-1. ofcourse they are about $40-50 more than these ones.
BOTTOM LINE: good for the money but wont make you go WOW!
Good quality compact headphones - FOUND: way to improve cushioning on the headbands! August 30, 2008 After a disastrous decision to purchase the JVC's with the hinge in the top that digs right into your skin, I purchased these. The fit over my ears is snug and very comfortable. I've yet to really test the noise canceling on an airplane, but I will in December.
The sound on Half-Life 2 was great, and I did notice how the noise canceling muted my room fan a bit. Their ability to fold up to a more compact space was great for saving some room in my desk. They also come with a large audio adapter, airplane adapter, and a nice carrying case.
My only complaint was the thin leather covering around the two headbands. I didn't feel that the leather was thick or soft enough to really make them pleasurable to wear without a lot of fidgeting and positioning.
However, after a trip to Bed, Bath & Beyond and a purchase of their "Multi-Purpose Felt Variety Pack" for $12.99 (which is ordinarily used to protect furniture and counter tops from heavy items) a solution was found!
This pack comes a large, rectangular pad that can be custom cut with a pair of strong, sharp scissors. I got out my Fiskars and cut two 1/4 inch strips along the longer side, peeled off the adhesive backing, applied the strips to the underside of the two bands and PRESTO! Extra cushioning that's comfortable, will stay in place and keep my follicle-challenged, chrome dome happy!

No Cancelling on this one!! August 29, 2008 Its an OK product. Dosen't work as advertised, no cancelling of sound happens and what u get is a slight hiss, and maybe tht tries to block the sound :).
I returned this product after trying to adjust for a few days.
Great sound, good noise-canceling! August 26, 2008 I got a factory refurbished set of these headphones for $20 on eBay, and I couldn't ask for more!
I was basically looking for something to block out my coworkers chatter when I need to really concentrate at work. With the noise canceling on with no music, I can still hear them, although they're not as loud. But with soft music, I can just tell that they *are* talking, not what they're saying. It's exactly what I needed!
I'm no audiophile, but the sound is great! Far, far better than the Sony earbuds I've been using.
And they're comfortable to wear. Sometimes I have to shift my glasses a little bit, but they're perfectly comfortable to wear most of the day.
These were a wonderful bargain for $20, but even if I had paid full price, I would still be happy.
