1 out of 5 stars Poor choice   September 8, 2008
I tried one like this. There is no way I could find to change the starting track on the Cd player, for waking up. I sure didn't want to wake up to the same song, every day for the rest of my life! Everything else was fine, but this one item was a killer for me. I took it back!

3 out of 5 stars Satisfactory, but nothing special   July 25, 2008

This clock radio is okay with some good features, but some items not very user-friendly. I bought it over a year ago and it's still working fine.

I like:
** BIG numbers, and mine are VERY bright (compared to some other reviews). Once I take my contacts out, I can't see anything, but now I can read the time thanks to these.
** Two separate alarms; my husband has his own clock on his side of the bed, but I like having two for myself for weekdays vs weekends or whatever; minimal re-setting.
** The radio reception is pretty decent.

Things that annoy me:
**The CD player works alright, but seems to make alot of "noise" -- like you can hear the disc spinning/friction. As a bedside unit, I'm usually playing the volume fairly soft, so this friction is even more noticeable.
**The dial to tune the radio is very difficult to turn -- feels like it's wound too tight. And the little red bar that is supposed to move horizontal to show the stations is very dark and hard to see. I'm actually not even convinced that it moves properly either. So, it's a total guess to know what station you're on.
**The dial to tune the radio and for the volume are both on the back of the unit (where you wouldn't be able to see them unless you picked up the whole thing) and very close to eachother. I'm constantly hitting the tuner when I want the other as I try to feel for the right one.
**You cannot use the "sleep" function with one mode and then wake the next morning with the alarm to another function, i.e., can't go to sleep with the CD and then use the buzzer for waking without manually switching it (after you presumably went to sleep.)

So... probably good for the money, but not top-notch.

1 out of 5 stars Disappointed!   July 21, 2008
I bought this product this passed Christmas from another store for my elderly father who is in a nursing home. It didn't last 9 months! Very disappointed. He said it worked in the morning and in the afternoon, it just died! No clock, no cd, no radio. We couldn't believe it; so we tried plugging it into different outlets thinking it was the power source. Nope! Crappy Clock Radio!

4 out of 5 stars good clock radio   June 29, 2008
This is a great alarm clock. I have owned it for over a year and never had any problems with it. My only complaint is that it is somewhat hard to find a radio station that comes in clear, but it is not really needed with the CD player and buzzer alarm options.

1 out of 5 stars Arrived broken, regret buying   April 9, 2008

I mostly bought this model because it had everything I wanted and was $10 cheaper than most of the others. I'm pretty cheap and usually find bargains. But this was a huge disappointment. The AM radio didn't work. When you move the band selector to AM, the FM continues to play. I'm sending it back and Amazon is sending me a new one. Hopefully it's better. But I'm concerned.
