Total junk! August 27, 2008 Wally-world sells these for $5. I have gone through 4...Yes, FOUR of these pieces of #$%^ trying to find one that will work. First one flat didn't work. Next unit didn't work. Third unit wouldn't get AM. Fourth unit worked...for about three minutes.
Run ...don't walk to the nearest exit!
Okay for the price July 7, 2008 This shower radio is a very good option if you do not want to spend more than fifteen dollars on a radio. The digital LCD display is nice and I love how it shows what station is being tuned in on the screen rather than on a printed sticker around the tuning knob. My shower is really loud, steamy, and extremely wet, but the little radio fills the shower with the hottest new songs from 106.1 KISS FM. The internal antenna pulls in MOST of the radio stations in Seattle, although some can't make it in without becoming filled with static. It comes with three options to set it up: hanging from the shower head, sitting on a counter, or attaching to a wall with suction cups. I couldn't hang it on my oversized shower head because it doesn't stick out far enough to hold the radio out of the stream of water. The suction cups hold it pretty well, but I have to be careful not to bump it up or it will fall. There are many pros, but the cons almost outnumber them. For one, the mirror isn't treated with any anti-fog coating, so it fogs up really fast. This might happen because my showerhead emits a TON of steam and visible mist. I bet it gets up to 110% humidity in the bathroom in 10-15 minutes. The next issue is with the radio tuner. Whenever I turn it off, it almost always shifts the station by .1 so it comes in with static next time you turn it on. jWIN also (kind of) scams you by saying speaker plural like this "speakers." This leads you to believe that this shower radio is stereo, but it is mono. Overall, the sound is good, it looks nice, and it can survive pouring mist, steam, and humidity from my shower without losing a beat. A great buy for a second shower.
Good sound quality, easy to use May 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This shower radio has a better sound then the last one that I had, and it is easy to use. The only problem I've had with it is that the suction cups holding it to the wall of the shower don't fit into a keyhole slot, but rather they just push into the back of the radio at the top. This allowed it to be knocked off of the suction cups when it was bumped in the shower, landing on my foot, and clattering noisily to the floor. It still works, however, and I will now be more careful!
It will do for now April 2, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought a second Jwin mirror radio for shower shaving when the first one stopped working. It's not my first choice because its an obvious "made in china" carnival prize quality item. The thing is there's just about no others out there and the few that are look like their construction is worse or the price is 4-5x more.
I'd give it a year of use before it quits on me but that's what I expected when I bought it.
Not a good product.. March 14, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The mirror still fog and it does not stick on the wall very good, eventually it'll fall. Everytime you turn on or off the radio the clock will reset back to 12:00am useless clock.
