Amazon.com Product Description The Creative Zen Stone is one of the smallest and most economical MP3 players you'll find anywhere. Compact enough to fit into almost any pocket and weighing less than an ounce, this featherweight player can be worn comfortably around your neck or on your arm while you're traveling or working out. With a capacity of 1 GB, the Stone holds about 250 songs, or 16 hours of music, in MP3 format (or 500 songs in WMA format). In addition, the player's convenient plug-and-play capabilities mean that you can simply connect the player to your PC--the player is only compatible with Windows XP or Vista operating systems--and drag-and-drop your music and data files between player and your computer without the need for special drivers.
The featherweight Zen Stone (0.9 ounces) is one of the tiniest MP3 players on the market. | With smooth curves and a glossy pink finish, this stylish MP3 player is designed to make you look good wherever you go. Ergonomically designed controls, including a conveniently placed quick-play mode switch, let you skip to the next song or folder, or randomly play all the songs in your player with a single touch. Changing play functions is as easy as sliding a toggle switch. The player also supports Audible 2, 3, and 4 formats in addition to MP3 and WMA files. And while the player is compatible with for-purchase WMA DRM files, it does not support portable subscription WMAs.
The player's ergonomically designed controls make it easy to skip songs or access your favorite tracks. | Other details include a multicolor LED screen that notifies the listener of the unit's charging and playback status, support for Creative's Media Lite software (available via download), a rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery that delivers up to 10 hours of continuous audio playback, and a USB 2.0 interface. The Zen Stone measures 2.1 by 1.4 by 0.5 inches (W x H x D), weighs 0.9 ounces, and is backed by a one-year warranty on parts and a 90-day warranty on labor. What's in the Box Pink Zen Stone MP3 player, earphone, USB 2.0 cable, quick-start leaflet.
Product Description Incredibly tiny, with incredible sound - that's the ZEN Stone. Available in a choice of six glossy colors, its looks match its performance, bringing you room for hundreds of songs and running for up to 10 hours on its rechargeable battery. You can navigate through your folders with the Skip feature and add some surprises to your listening with Shuffle playback. Friendly, simple and pocket-size, the ZEN Stone MP3 player is simply incredible!

Worked great for awhile September 22, 2008 I was using the Stone for listening to audio books as I exercised. After about 2 months the Stone started to "lose" my place so I spent the first few minutes of my walk finding it again. I solved the problem by having only one book on the Stone at a time. The next thing was the Stone stopped being recognized by my computer. At first I blamed it on Vista but have tried my other computer with XP and still no connection. I cannot even charge the Stone from a wall charger. I am replacing it this week with another brand.
worth it September 19, 2008 totally worth your points. wish i could get another but of course all the good stuff worth while are gone. to bad pepsi!!!!!!!
better then ipod September 16, 2008 great, easy to use, no tech problems with mine or daughters in over a year of ownership. takes fair bit of knocking around. leaves Ipod shuffle for dust
nice little MP3 player September 7, 2008 For the price, great quality. Very small - only a few inches long. Doesn't display track info, but for the money, a good buy.
works great for me! September 2, 2008 I don't really consider myself to be in the iPod generation but I really love this little player. I got a free MP3 player (generic) which ended up breaking so I went looking for a replacement. I especially like the Zen Stone for its speaker so that I don't have to use the earbuds. I use it while gardening to just clip on the inside of my shirt or to set out while I do exercise. I use it while playing guitar to be able to have the song I am working on right in front of me to listen to different parts of it.
The only thing I have had an issue with is the same as some people have mentioned before which is the charging. To me it holds the battery life fine but I have not used others to compare. The issue I have had is my computer not recognizing the player when I hook it up on USB to charge and I did the same thing as was mentioned, I plugged it in overnight to charge and went to bed without realizing that it hadn't actually connected. You sometimes have to really make sure that it is connected or change USB cables, or it might be that I am still on Win2000pro? Either way I always make sure that it is connected when I charge and then it works great for me!
