 A Good Upgrade, but Some Major Problems July 5, 2008
When I was looking for a new mp3 player, I was looking for a video player that was cheap, without LOOKING like it was cheap. So when I found the T10, I fell in love. The little animated menus are just too cute! When I got it, I couldn't have been happier with my purchase. For the price I paid, it was a decent little player. However, there have been some problems.
PROBLEM NUMBER ONE: Although the T10 is compatible with Napster, Napster doesn't offer video downloads. Which means I'd need to get another digital service, and more expenses, when I thought it'd be much easier. Not necessarily the T10s fault, but it is an issue nonetheless. I was able to get a few videos on there after a couple hours of research and work.
PROBLEM NUMBER TWO: The video quality is great, but sometimes I feel like I'm watching a Japanese anime movie, because the dialogue isn't matching the people's mouths! I suppose it is a minor issue, because it doesn't occur all the time, but it does tend to bother me.
PROBLEM NUMBER THREE: This is probably the biggest problem of all, but the T10 comes with the Samsung Media Software. So I put in the CD and installed the software, and a box popped up asking me to upgrade the software with Emodio [made by Samsung]. I clicked the box, and it uninstalled the software. As it was beginning to reinstall the updated software, my anti-virus popped up saying I was downloading a trojan and I should quarantine the operation at once... This extremely disappoints me, because how am I supposed to trust that when I plug in the T10 for firmware updates that it won't download a trojan onto that? If anyone has any idea what may have happened with the software, please let me know.
PROBLEM NUMBER FOUR: This is a very, very minor problem, but the headphone jack is on the bottom of the player. I just find that an odd place to put it.
PROBLEM NUMBER FIVE: 4 GB for a player I was intending on using mainly for video isn't seeming to be very much. It does the job, but I wish it would've had an expandable card slot or came in 8 or 16 GB.
If I weren't having those problems, I'd say the T10 would easily get 4 or 5 stars. The sound quality is great, although I prefer different headphones than the ones that come in the box. Some of the DNSE settings are just odd, like concert hall. It sounds okay on some songs, but very weird on others. I guess it just depends what you listen to. The screen is bright and clear, with good playback for the most part. As for concerns with the touch pad being finicky, I find it to work fine. It looks very sleek and works well. If you're looking for a basic, cheap video player without compromising style, this is the one to get. But be careful with the software, as its been giving me lots of issues.

I have ipod nano but I bought yp-t10 because nano doesn't have FM Radio and I couldn't change the font size of my text files. Also T10 is slimer so fits well in my small pocket when I exercize. I love my T10.
 Nice Player but user-unfriendly software June 25, 2008
Very slim and eye-catching player. Their DNS2e technology created very clear sound quality even when I was running next to a freeway. The interface on the player took some time to get used to, like many other players out there. There is no one-touch button for switching directly to your preset stations in FM Radio, you have to scroll through the presets you have created for yourself. The battery life is really good.
My biggest issue with the player is their software for generating playlists. I like my songs played in a specific order, and after generating the playlist in the Samsung Media Studio and transferring the files to the player, the songs played back in alphabetical order. I had to use Windows Media Player 10 instead to fix this problem.
Overall, I think this player is worth a buy for its cheaper price than the ipods, you just need to spend some time tinkering with the software.

I have purchased muiltiple SAMSUNG MP3 players for my family. I personally prefer the T9 over the T10 but the T10 has everthing you could want.
PRO's: easy to load music (you can use WMP or the included Samsung program.) Great sound, very light, long battery life.
CON's: difficult to turn on and off when inside and Action/Silicone Jacket for running.
Overall very satisfied with the player.

I'm quite pleased with my purchase of the T10. The audio quality and volume level aren't anything special (or I would've given it 5 stars) but more than adequate. Tried the player with Cardo Bluetooth headphones and the sound quality was good. The touch controls are quite sensitive but the lock feature works well. The Samsung Media Studio is a nice program that accesses your computer files quickly, easily moves files to your player, and rips music directly from CDs. It also converts video easily to the required svi format. Would have been nice if they'd included a case or arm strap with the player.
