The display did not work October 6, 2008 As I expected, but couldn't make the display to work and by that not the radio either
everything but good sound September 17, 2008 absolutely worthless over fifty mph on a motorcycle with full face helmet - it's ok if you're just sitting around the house and aren't concerned about sound quality - not even close to a zen (which I broke and couldn't afford to replace). You gets what you pay for. Gave it to the Frau who listens to books on tape without earbuds (speaker) and she likes it.
Bargain podcast player September 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I only listen to podcasts on an mp3 player. I bought this player because it was the cheapest one I could find where someone reviewed it and confirmed that it had Resume. By Resume I mean, if you shut it off entirely, when you turn it back on, it starts at the exact place you left off within whatever track it was playing. This feature is essential in a spoken word player.
Good - Has Resume - No batteries! It charges off of the USB connection. So far mine has charged itself to 100% every time I have connected it, just in the time it takes to refresh its podcast list. - Charge lasts longer than a typical AAA battery did on my old, prematurely deceased, Sansa players. - Tiny, about 1.5 x 2.5 inches, and almost weightless. If the clip falls off and it falls, which has already happened, it still works.
Bad - No indicator for what track number you are on, just the track title. Since I have mine filled with podcasts I can't tell when I'm on the last one. Have to wait until they start sounding familiar. - To open the clip you have to put your thumb on the clip and your opposing finger on the other side of the player right where the controls are, which often results in advancing to the next track by accident.
Zen stone plus A great buy August 9, 2008 This fits the bill perfectly for the use I intended. I like to download audiobooks from my libraries website and listening to them anywhere. Best features are the external speaker so I don't always have to wear earphone which hurt my ears and the fact that when I turn it off and come back to it it starts exactly where I left off. Great price nice size at 2gb perfect physical size I am able to clip it right on my collar with the included clip.
MP3 with built-in-speaker August 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What a good idea. No need for headphones, but will work with headphones. I own other MP3 players & speaker docks for them, but this is my favorate. I am a little hard of hearing and I have no problem listening to my audio books on this device (works with audible). Works great while driving, no headphones to wear or CD's to change. Small compact and comes with a clip that I attach to my collar. This is not a boom box, but perfect for personel listening.
