Bait and switch! Beware... August 21, 2008 If a digital tuner for less than $10 sounds too good to be true, it is. T
he tuner on this cheap radio is a manual wheel -- it just shows the wheel position as a digital display. If you try to tune 93.9, for example, you turn the wheel and the display jumps around; if you are lucky you might get 93.8 or 93.9 but it the signal will be static-filled because it is not EXACTLY 93.9000. This is very different than a digital tuner that tunes exactly to a certain frequency in fixed increments.
Bait and switch! Do not purchase.
Very Small August 9, 2008 This is a sweet little radio. Easaly Dial to the right station. The speaker is a little tinny but It works. I am suprised at the quality for the price. The face does not light up Orange as shown in the photo. I bought this radio for a Lab setting. It is small enough we just tape it to the wall. No caounter space needed. Would be great for an emergency kit. The batteries only last for about 2 weeks if the radio is run for 8 hrs a day 5 days a week.
Terrible little radio August 4, 2008 This radio is extremely small , which might be good. But its sound and volume also are very tiny. I would not recommend this for any one.
Coby Radio July 26, 2008 I needed a cheap compact radio to leave in my office, and the Coby CX50 is perfect for the job. The small antenna helps pull in the signal and the digital readout helps with the fine tuning.
I play this through a small set of pc speakers, and the sounds is very good for this price range.
Don't waste money July 12, 2008 Not worth the reasonable price, not worth half the price, not worth anything. Can't get most stations in even with antenna. If I didn't ruin the box, I'd send it back.
