Model has the controls the way they will last. This unit will stay together probably as long as you have it.

I purchased this with the idea to listen to books while exercising. The sound is very clear, has a long battery life and I have been able to locate numerous cassette books at very affordable prices on Ebay. I have also listened to it on long car trips and enjoyed it very much. It is very easy to use and is relatively compact. It has already been dropped a few times and hasn't seemed to affect the performance yet. It has been used steadily since I have received it approximately 6 weeks ago.

Sound quality is actually pretty good, but design, build quality and ease of use just fair. Buttons feel cheap and flimsy and the lack of auto reverse makes it a bit of a pain to use. Battery life however seems quite good.

bought it for my 82 year youg father...it took him a day to figure it out but he is enjoying it...said it has good sound....overall, i'm pleased

This is a wonderful portable cassette walkman. I looked far and wide for a portable player that had quality construction. There are many cassette players out there that are junk. This Sony did not disappoint and I recommend ithighly.
