The device--which doesn't require any special software for installation--automatically shows up as a removable drive in Windows Explorer, letting you simply drag and drop files to and from the device. The SA1100 is a breeze to control thanks to the integrated folder browsing option, which offers a quick shortcut to finding and playing your favorite tunes. To use folder browsing, first organize your music into folders on your PC, giving the folders any name you like, then drag and drop the folders to your device. When you're listening to the player, you can zoom to the songs by holding the next or previous key, after which you'll see the folder names scrolling across one by one. Bottom barrel bit, but I like it, ....so far, still on the honeymoon, December 13, 2006

Just wanted something to record singing practice, it overmodulates easily, but on the otherhand it makes great spyware. You can leave it recording with the endcap off & everyone thinks it's just a flashdrive ~ fool your friends ~ yuk, hyuk.I say that because it won't shut off after 3 minutes like the manual says. There are other quirky behaviors and I'm glad I bought the extended warrany 'cause it will probably go back, but for now, I'm still interested in this strange little beasty.
