The unit's buttons are aligned in a single column for easy use. Its digital-synthesized FM/AM stereo tuner provides accurate, drift-free tuning of AM and FM stereo radio stations. With 1-button digital auto preset scanning, the tuner will play a few seconds of each memorized radio station, in sequence, to help you select stations for loading into memory.  not as advertised December 2, 2008
The product was advertised as "Sony WM-FX290 Stereo Cassette Player with FM/AM/TV/Weather Tuning" but the models (I ordered 2) sent to me were WM-FX290W which does NOT have the TV feature. I am very disappointed as that was one of the main reasons I ordered this model.

I use this 365 days a year and probably at least 4-6 hours each day. It is used while walking the dog, working out, doing dishes and laundry, and especially while working in the garden. It takes a ton of abuse and keeps on working. I love being able to listen to the 3 major TV stations and PBS yet not be glued to the TV screen.
Good product; radio/TV digital channels could be user-friendlier November 12, 2008
Great for all my cassettes, and I love having the TV channels along with the radio. I just wish the digital functions were a lot easier to use for the radio stations. It would be much quicker using an old-fashioned dial for the radio.

i did not ever get the product i ordered. so i would have to rate its very low. also the company which i ordered from never got back to me on any of the questions i had. i emailed them about 10 times and no response. i will NEVER buy from them again.
Seller Error October 12, 2008
Seller sent incorrect item. I returned it at MY EXPENSE. Seller refunded my original credit card charge because they said they did not have the item I ordered. HOWEVER I checked Amazon site for this item and this seller and it is still listed as available. Sony Walkman WM-FX290.
