Best value online August 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a good deal for the price. Cost less than everywhere else I searched. Fast shipping with Priority Mail. Hooked laptop to my Samsung 50" 1080p plasma Samsung FPT5084 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV to view slideshows of high resolution digital photos. Nice quality, works great.
good cable August 12, 2008 hooked this up from my computer to my sony bravia s series 32" hdtv lcd, works good.
Force Multiplier! June 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this after much research and contemplation. I have an external hard drive that I have backed-up many of my DVD's on. I can now play them on my laptop with little effort, but I wanted to 'broadcast' them to my Sony Bravia S-Series KDL-40S4100 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV. I only have an HD15 output on my Gateway MT3707 laptop. The TV is about 10 feet away, but I needed the slack so I could park the cable on the side of the room.
Bottom line, it worked great. The Bravia took my audio and piped it to the Home Theater amplifier. I can now sit at my laptop, fold the screen all the way down, and use the Bravia as my monitor or, altrenately, play my backed-up DVD's on the LCD TV. I can even multitask with the DVD on one side and surf on the other side. In all honesty, I don't do this much... but I can.
At any rate, the quality of the setup is great. If there's any breakdown in audio quality, I don't notice. Since my movies are compressed anyway, they aren't tack-sharp to begin with. I haven't noticed an reduced quality over my 6' cable I used before.
