Numbers disappearing July 18, 2008 Purchased in December 2007, and in less than 6 months have lost the top half of the first digit (top half of the one), and the middle horizontal bar on the second digit (think of an 8 without the center bar). It still tells the appropriate time, if your mind fills in the missing bar. I've had digital clocks for years and never had this happen before. If another bar disappears I will probably replace... not with an Emerson product.
Wake up to static May 29, 2008 I was originally very happy with the product but after about 9 months I found myself waking up to unpleasant static in either the radio or alarm mode. I went to the manufacturer's web site for warranty information and found that they required it to be shipped in the original box, have the original copy of the warranty and a receipt. I only had the receipt, courtesy of Amazon. The web site also did not provide the address to return the product to.
Clock radio April 12, 2008 This clock radio is the BOMB...I love it!!! When you plug it in...if you are on the East coast, it sets itself automatically to the present time. You don't have to do anything!! If you are elsewhere on the planet you have to set it with your time zone...it has a radio to wake or a buzzer...if you use the buzzer to wake and want to snooze, you just wave your hand and the snooze activates...really cool!! There's so much more...you have to check it out yourself...if you're in the market, it's my pick!!
Easy to use, easy to see February 12, 2008 The extra large numbers are easy to see. The two completely independent alarms are easy to set. Overall, this is everything I was looking for in an alarm clock.
CLOCK February 9, 2008 This clock must have been sitting on the shelf for more than 3 years. When it arrived it would not reset. A call to Emerson revealed the battery (last 3 years ) was dead. I had to buy a new battery (5.95 at radio shack). Then it worked fine. I'm really soured on Amazon
