Amazon.com Product Description Sangean's RCR-22 Clock Radio is the atomic clock radio you can set once and forget. It connects to the atomic clock in Boulder, Colorado to set the most accurate time available. Once the clock is set you can program the dual alarms to wake to your favorite AM or FM station. Take advantage of the Humane Waking System that begins with a low volume beep and gradually increases in intensity to slowly wake you instead of receiving a firm jolt that others provide. There is also a handy sleep timer that allows you to fall asleep listening to your favorite radio station from 15 minutes up to 2 hours. You can also connect your iPod or a CD player to the auxiliary input to enjoy your favorite soothing sounds CD or digital music collection to fall asleep.

no AM radio alarm August 28, 2008 manual is almost useless, and the wake to radio will not work on the AM side unless you have a REAL good signal, i had to return it because i set it to wake to radio and it would just go to buzzer because in the manual it said it will just use the buzzer if the signal is not strong enough , the radio station came in fine but it still when to the buzzer, and all radio alarms should be made to go to buzzer after 5 to 10 min my 20 year old GE does that .
As Expected August 27, 2008 It's a clock radio and does everything a modern clock radio should do, including accurately set its own time and have a digital tuner. It's hard to get excited about a clock radio at this level. If you need to get excited, look into its big brothers, the Sangean RS-330 Digital AM/FM Clock Radio and its companion, the Sangean RS-332 Powered Speaker for RS-330 Clock Radio. They're a clock radio system to get excited about - until they stop working. I went through three (including one that was DOA out of the box) before I gave up. The RCR-22 replaced those more expensive clunkers.
Atomic Clock Radio August 22, 2008 Gave this item as a gift to my sister. She just loves it and says the reception on it is outstanding. Couldn't have choosen a better radio.
Great Features, Poor Execution, Worse Customer Service! August 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This clock radio has a lot of great features, but my unit had a fatal flaw: Alarm #1 sounds exactly 4 hours early in ADDITION to the properly set time. E-mails to Sangean "support" went unanswered. I got tired of being awakened at 1:00 AM, so I am returning the product. These things should NOT happen at this price point. Stay away from the RCR-22! EDIT: I just bought the Boston Acoustics "Solo" clock radio instead; better interface, MUCH better sound, and BA is known for their great customer service. I'll never buy Sangean again!
A Little Too Bright July 19, 2008 The clock functions well and reliably as advertised but has two features that are somewhat annoying. First is the backlight to the screen. Although it is adjustable, it still puts out a strong glow on the lowest setting. Second, the alarm clock settings cannot be temporarily switched off once they are set. If you have a day off, you'll either have to reset that day or wake up at your usually time.
