Amazon.com Product Description The Leapfrog LF-30S from Terk Technologies is a wireless transmitter/receiver system that eliminates the need--and the expense--of running extra wires from room to room in order to enjoy your audio/video entertainment from multiple in-home locations. Using the system's IR blaster, you can even control your first-room components from your second-room locations. It's as good as having two or more of everything. works as expected. October 6, 2008 Very easy setup and it works as expected. There is interference when the microwave oven is operated, but other then that, the picture and sound are perfect. Recommended.
Love this product October 5, 2008 I Love this product. It works perfectly. I have no problems with interference from other 2.4 mhz devices, even though there is a 2.4 mhz cordless phone in the same room. I have it hooked up to a stand alone dvr, through which I can receive satellite, DTV, a dvd player, as well as the programs on the dvr's hard drive. I am able to receive all these devices through Terk Leapfrog on a TV in a separate room. Don't know how the built in remote extender works, as I have a separate remote extender so that I can control all of my devices. Video quality and sound quality are very good. Pleased as heck with this device!
Worked great for my use. October 3, 2008 After reading several negative reviews, I purchased this product with some trepidation. I wanted some thing to hook my computer up to my audio receiver in my shop so I could listen to internet radio. The Terk transmitter and receiver are about 70 feet apart in a metal building and the audio sounds perfect. I'm not transmitting any video so I have no frame reference there. Setup was quick and simple. The microwave oven cause some interference, but after trying all the channels on the Leapfrog I found that channel "D" picked up little to no interference. One final note, Terk (Audiovox)has changed the style of this A/V bridge. The item I received was different from the picture, much smaller and silver, it still works great for me.
it's ok September 16, 2008 Unit provides good picture and sound for the money.Ability to use remote in viewing room is a major plus.Unit is subject to interference from electrical devices and vehicle ignition systems though. Bought one as a gift and liked it enough to buy a second one for me.
Does not work with Dish Network 311 Receiver September 13, 2008 I was not able to get it to control my Dish Network 311 receiver. Even placed sender/receiver in same room and it was unable to even turn it on or off. The audio and video quality was great with the unit in the basement and the tv up on the second floor. Too bad the IR didn't work so I'm doing the RMA with amazon.
