 MP3 playback is awful; we're returning it March 28, 2008
I bought one a week ago at the Sony store. The MP3 playback skips all over the place, to the point of being unplayable. I tried two different discs, each of which play just fine on two other CD-MP3 players we have, and both were unplayable on this unit.
The MP3 playback was the major reason I bought it, so it's going back to the store tomorrow.
 Excellent MP3, CD and Radio Player January 27, 2008
I got this for my birthday and just LOVE it. I play it all the time and the best part of this is that I can make MP3's of my own music and just play it while I am cleaning or getting ready to leave the house. We have not had any issues with it. It is very durable when we carrying it around with us. A great Boombox that actually sounds like a big stereo system.

MP3 CD support, auxiliary audio input, remote control. In this day and age, it's simply foolish to buy a boombox that can't play MP3 CD's or has an auxiliary audio input for an MP3 player. That fact that most boomboxes don't have either and this boombox has both, along with great sounds quality and a remote control, make this an outstanding boombox for the money. But it if you can find it.

It's kind of ugly and the sound isn't any better than you'd expect from a $100 boom box. It does read the MP3 list faster than some other players that I've had. And as long as you don't change discs then the shuffle mode sticks. I'm happy with it for now. If it wasn't so ugly, I'd give it 5 stars.

I purchased this so that I could take it to the picnic table down by the lake and listen to mp3 discs. Works perfectly for this. I'm happy with the sound and operation.
