Great for what it is intended! Alerts! May 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this radio from Office Max and I could not be happier with it. I did not buy this radio to listen to FM or AM. I bought it to alert me about severe weather conditions! It has been doing that job very well. AND IT HAS THE VOLUME TO DO IT! THAT IS WHAT THEY WERE THINKING ABOUT WHEN THEY DESIGNED IT! Great Product Honeywell.
Horrible design - What were they thinking? March 12, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This product has been rendered useless because of its design. The NOAA weather reports (which are the only reason you'd buy it in the first place) BLARE out of the radio. You cannot lower the volume to anything approaching a reasonable level. A call to their tech support line confirmed this design flaw. I was advised to hook up my own external speakers to it that can control the volume. That ruins the "portable" feature of the radio. My opinion - avoid this horribly designed weather alert radio.
Honeywell RN507W NOAA Weather Alert/All Hazard FM Radio with S.A.M.E February 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Not a bad weather alert product, a little difficult to set up and sometimes the warnings do not self announce. Honeywell could have made this a little better product, so a little disappointed in the over all quality of this radio.
