better to buy this item in a store July 2, 2008 This item was defective when I received it. Because the company I went through was a bit obtuse about helping me to figure out what was going on, it took me about a month to get the problem diagnosed and corrected. One of their tech people told me this problem (AC power glitch) occurs in 2% of the units they sell. This requires you to mail it back at your own expense and, of course, wait until a good one arrives. Then there's a 1 in 50 chance you might get another bad one and be stuck paying to mail it back, too. Until the manufacturer corrects this problem, I'd just find a local dealer who can sell this to you.
