Great Purchase January 1, 2008 Well, I haven't really put this bag through it's paces yet, but so far, it's held up really well. The laptop fits snugly, and very securely, and there are multiple pockets for anything you need space for. The flap over the back gets in the way from time to time, but I guess that makes it waterproof. There's a pouch on the shoulder strap to tuck a cellphone into for easy access, and the bag fits comfortably on my shoulders. It's well padded, and the mesh pockets on the back make it easy to remember where you stored important items. The handle on top makes it easy to just carry across the room, or for any other reason you don't want to cart it on your back for a length of time. For the most part, I use my bag for (D&D)gaming supplies
An excellent notebook backpack October 14, 2007 I own this Targus TSB315 16 Sport Deluxe Computer Backpack. It's very resistent, well padded and roomy. Perfect as carry-on luggage or a backpack for field researchers and fits an active and spotive routine. The mobile pocket fits my treo 680 even with a silicon case. I do recommend it. A quality product with a good price (around 35.00)
Great laptop backpack! July 3, 2007 This backpack is great! It is very spacious even with the laptop inside... it has numerous pockets to store almost everything... it can carry your computer with numerous thick books and they still fit!! The revolutionary front zipper opens vertically so you can access or store your books very easy!
Also the computer compartment has padding giving extra protection against shocks and water! also the padding do not go all the way to the bottom of the bag... this is great because when you put the bag on the ground or in any surface your computer will not hit it!
In addition, you got LIFETIME WARRANTY! If by some reason your bag breaks, Targus will replace it NO QUESTIONS ASKED! The only thing you need to do is call them and mail it! And you will get a brand new one!
Finally this product is great I have been using mine for the last 4 years! And it still like new!
It is worth your money because you will not have to buy any other computer backpack! It will last forever!
Great! August 7, 2006 Although it was sent in an box much larger then the bag, i have been very satisfied with the bag. I carry my laptop and books to school and around the campus without any trouble and it is great for traveling too! I is also great for use when riding a bike and it hold up in the rain without getting wet inside, a very important thing. If your willing to spend the money, this bag is completly worth it and fits most laptop sizes thith lots of room for extra stuff along with a cell phone pouch on the shoulder strap and elastic cord and pockets for strapping things on and holding water bottles. There are also many places to tie things onto and did I mention that it is very comfortable with lots of back padding and two support straps.
Great pack, would recommend it. May 27, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
There's just a few of things I can think of as to improving this backpack, witch might just be a matter of taste. The first would be the use of storm flaps over the outside zippers, this would keep sticks or limbs from tearing the zippers and dirt out when setting the pack down. The use of # 10 YKK zippers as they are the best on the market, I hate it when they fail. These zippers are used on all my North Face gear and have yet to fail after many, many years of use and washings (that's what wears out clothing more than anything else). More tightly sealed, I don't need any CD or iPod holes for head phones and if I did, I'd make one exactly where I wanted it. Some of you might be wondering, I do allot of field work with laptops (I carry up to 4 spare batteries) and a good rugged backpack is a must. I've checked in to those enclosed hard cased laptops that are weather proof but they are way too under powered do to heat buildup and dissipation within the hard case, this is a good alternative. Having a backpack that is weather resistant would be better but those are much more expensive. I have done some minor mods to mine such as adding more padding on the shoulder straps and hosing it down with Scotch Guard. I like the fact that it has waist and chest straps to keep it from sliding around when moving through difficult terrain. Over all, I think its well worth the money, you get what you pay for. I bought this for my shorter fair-weather trips, I will use my North Face Big Shot for longer fowl weather trips.
