Sennheiser PC140 Noise Cancelling Headset/Microphone May 8, 2007 I am happy with this headset - the only problem I've encountered is the fact that they are not adjustable to different head sizes. If you have a fairly small head they are very loose fitting.
good quality, low price April 10, 2007 the sound quality is fine, everyone's told me that they hear me clearly. I love being able to adjust the volume on the cord. The headphones get a little uncomfortable after about 4 hours though
Good for VOIP February 19, 2007 I use this for VOIP professionally, and it works fine. It's not perfect, but it's the best cost/performance value I've found less than $50.
Broken ear piece November 23, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Sound and mic quality was excellent. The behind the ear style may not be for everyone, I found it a little bit uncomfortable on the ears, but the other style has drawbacks too.
The only thing that really annoyed me is the joint between the earpiece and band broke within a couple weeks of purchase. I bit of electrical tape fixed it and it is probably still under warranty, but I would expect better from Sennheiser.
Comparing to AKG K55 and Plantronics DSP-500 September 29, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I compare this to AKG K55. The PC140 is with very nice sweet high, but not as full as the K55 in the mid the bass. The sound of PC140 is clean but very relax. This is the Sennheiser sound. Some other brand like Plantronics (DSP-500) is with clean but strained sound, which are good for Jazz or game but not good for classic or vocal.
Sensitivity of the PC140 is low. I guess we need a good sound card to drive it. The on/off switch does not work from the time I open the brand new box. I guess the QC of this company is not that strict.
