 Sturdy, elegant, good price January 7, 2009
This desk was easy to put together and came with extras of all the necessary screws, washers, and other pieces necessary to assemble it. It matches with my other pale wood furniture very nicely. I have a laptop, so I use the keyboard pullout as a storage tray for things like tape, paper clips, notepads, etc.
While assembling, one of the metal screws snapped in half as I tried to tighten it(entirely my fault). As a result, I couldn't completely secure one side of the desk and the keyboard tray kept falling out because that side of the desk would slowly nudge further away. Some Gorilla Glue on the corners of the left front leg fixed the problem quickly, though, so now everything works as it should.
Sometimes there are free shipping deals from Target/Amazon on this piece, so keep an eye out for that. I saved $26 in shipping that way!

This desk fit perfectly in my little space. I would definately recommend to anyone who is trying to save space.
An elegant piece of furniture December 30, 2007
I ordered this during the 2007 Christmas shopping season and it still came within a few days with the cheapest shipping charge. Price + shipping came to about the same as buying locally at Target with tax, without the hassels of driving to the store.
This is one of the most elegant pieces of furnitures I have bought. Not only is this made out of real gorgeous wood, it is only five pieces to be assembled with very easy instructions. Once you take a look at the instructions, it takes only a few minutes to put it together. It is quite sturdy with a small foot print for computer tables.
I am very happy with this purchase.

I'm really interested in purchasing this item, but just realized the shipping is pretty outrageous. How much did you all end up paying for shipping alone?

I have a huge computer desk in my den but now I have to turn that into a baby room. So now the only place I can put my computer is next to my L-shapped couch in the livingroom. There wasn't much space and almost everything stuck out to far. Not good when it sits behind your head. This fits in perfectly!!! I have a flat screen monitor on it with the speakers and mouse. It even leaves just enough room for writing. Great for when my kid needs to use the computer ans write out his homework. This was exactly what I was looking for!
