I love it August 10, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I had no problems putting it together. I thought the directions were well written and I was able to put it together in less than an hour. Mine had no scratches or dents. It matches well with the rest of the mission collection. The drawer has no bottom, so it is strictly for hanging file folders only, which fits its purpose perfectly. It can hold either legal or regular size hanging folders, but not both at the same time. It has plenty of space, I have twenty five (25) regular size hanging folders in mine and still have room for more. The top surface can be used for a night stand or side table, with plenty of room for a lamp and a drink, or fill it up with anything. I am very pleased with this product.
Not Bad January 23, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Unlike other reviewers, I didn't have any problem putting this item together. While I'll admitt that the directions are poorly written, anyone with a little mechanical common sense can do this with no problem. This certaintly isn't a fine piece of furniture (it's from Target, what do you expect?, but it looks pretty good, is functional, and the price is right.
Terrible to put together May 6, 2005 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
Mine also had scratches upon delivery. But putting it together was a nightmare. I should say IS, because I am still trying to put it together! The slots do not line up well with each other, causing you to try numerous times to get the pieces to fit together. Also the decorative pieces that go on the upper sides do not slide completely in, so I was forced to (with great difficulty) get them out again and leave it with these empty slots on the side looking rather bad. The idea of this item would have been great and very convenient if it had not come with scratches and was much easier to put together.
drawer has no bottom? April 21, 2005 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
too bad the description did not state this was a bottomless drawer, if it had i wouldn't have gone to (4) stores looking for it--finally found and bought(2). beautiful look but is NOT at all functional for me. now, i will return the (1) i built and the other which is still in the box :( also, the screw for the knob was not the right one, had to find one of my own!! too bad!!
