dissapointing May 3, 2008 I bought this adaptor for a trip we went on. I read the reviews they werent so hot, most of thelm said the sound quality was poor,I believed it would get the job done, WOW they were so right. I am very unhappy with the sound quality, I didnt think it could be so bad, its terrible. Do not buy this unit unless you want scarry sounds for Haloween.
yeah I got burned too but............ February 13, 2008 I bought one from Best Buy with out checking reviews, my mistake but if you move your zune away from the transmitter the horrible hard drive noise will go away and it will be somewhat tolerable to use. I cant believe they put this on the market without solving the fm interence issues
Don't believe the other reviews January 10, 2008 I recently purchased this product and it has worked fine. It sounds just as good as the Monster one for the ipod. I am really suprised to see so many negative reviews. I have been using a cassete adapter which works very well, but does not charge the zune. With this as having the option if I want to use that adapter as well is nice. It sounds great though without the cassete adapter.
Does not function, in any way. January 7, 2008 I purchased this to use the line-out feature with the aux in on my car. The appeal of a single cable from the zune to the concealed power and aux ports was attractive. Unfortunately, it does not work.
1- When the Zune is powered by this device and connected via aux-in there is large amounts of interference and alternator whine in the signal. 2- No matter how the device is connected you will not hear music. You will only hear noise, static and when you change tracks: a digital clicking, chirping sound. But never any music.
I repeat: At NO point either via the FM modulator or the line-out feature was I able to get this device to send sound to my car head unit. When used for just power, using the line out direct from the Zune there was significant interference in the signal, indicating that the power supply/charger circuit on this device was poorly designed.
If you need an FM modulator, and don't need the line-out feature get the official Zune car pack V 2.0. There are no noise issues from the power supply and the FM modulator does work, but does not sound as good as a direct connection, of course.
Do not buy this.
DO NOT BUY THIS January 5, 2008 I will chime in with my own negative review. Sold my Kensington which sounded fine, in order to have this one that charges too. Big Mistake, sound quality is awful, with lots of background noise. There is no reason I should have to listen to the hard drive, and the noise from going through my songs.
