Twice as happy January 2, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the second unit I've bought - both through Amazon. I'm satified with the purchase process and delivery was very quick. The unit does everything that is described in the details and works well in kitchen areas. The quality is there for the product and it has good features.
am i mounting this correct? December 9, 2007 It arrived promptly and was packed well. Mounting directions were vague but if one has even modest home repair skills, their will be no problems getting mounted. Sound quality is good, but I heard an older GE model with better sound.
Works as advertised August 14, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Does everything it is supposed to do. Installation was easy. My only complaint is that if you lose power it sometimes forgets the station presets.
I was nervous to buy a refurb because several people reported problems with the CD player, but so far (four months) so good.
Best of the Under Counter Kitchen radio's January 23, 2007 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I've had a GE and a Sony (CD543RM) kitchen under counter units. I've also tested a few others in stores. The Sony 543 model is superior to any other unit out their and the Sony 553 is superior to the Sony 543. The 553 is worth the extra bucks for the better sound quality and AM/FM reception.
Nice Stereo January 13, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this for my Mom for Christmas and ended up giving it to her before the holidays so she could listen to Christmas music while she was in the kitchen. She loves it except the radio doesn't come in the best but we've managed to get a few stations for her. She needed some help to figure out the buttons, but over all a great system with good sound and the remote is very handy.
