stay way from this phone November 16, 2008 This phone is to expensive for what it does, I am very disappointed with it. it loses connection often shows unavailable and I have to unplug it from the USB port and plug it back again to work, I am glad I am a computer tech I even found out by myself that I have to remove the battery out to reset it and make it to work again which it does not say in the owner's manual.I use an older version of skype 2.5.0.113 because this phone does not work with a new version of skype. I updated skip and I had to downgrade to make it work. I called the customer support and someone told me that it does not work with the new version of skype. I am alerting people to stay away from it or buy at your own risk , if this 2.5.0.113 version stop working which is already outdated this phone will be completely useless
Battery life short October 29, 2008 First of all after charging the battery, it lost life quickly. I was only able to use it for less than an hour.
Secondly, it completely upsets my volume. I cannot receive sounds from my speakers when I connect the phone. I was disappointed.
Great value October 11, 2008 The telephony kit is a great value for the $$. It was so easy to install and use. Small and compact to fit in your lugage for traveling. Totally recommend it.
i HATE this phone October 8, 2008 This phone is a piece of junk. The battery longevity is horrible meaning after a few months, it holds a charge for about half a day and then you have to charge it up again.
The controls and features are worthless.
The phone takes over your sound device so that if you're on your computer and you want to play back your messages from the PC or make a call out from a headset.. you have to switch your sound devices from Linksys to your PC sound drivers. The Linksys phone automatically switches Skype to it's own sound device even though it's not necessary for the phone to function.
I've had this piece of garbage for a year now and I'm going to buy something else
Works Excellent! October 3, 2008 Works Excellent! All you have to do is call Customer Support if you need help confirguring it. Very easy to use. Insall CD (less than 2 minutes). Plug in USB into the Back of your computer and your phone is ready.
You have to remember that once you plug in your phone, you have to then go back to your Skype Account and allow this phone model to "access Skype". In Skype:
1. Click "Tools" 2. Cilck "Options" 3. Click "Advanced" 4. Click "Manage Other Programs to Access Skype" 5. Change the Settings so that your phone can work with Skype.
Walk all around the house and talk for free. Ditch your landline. This is super! A+!
