Sony's CFD-ZW770 boombox features a backlit LCD display, easy-to-reach controls and switches, and detachable full-range speakers. The boombox incorporates a CD player, dual cassette decks, and a digital synthesized AM/FM tuner into a portable unit. Synchronized CD-to-cassette recording makes recording your favorite discs a breeze.Playback is enhanced by the five-band graphic equalizer and four sound field presets (rock, pop, live, and vocal). Other convenient features include Mega Bass, four-way repeat/shuffle modes, 20- track CD programming, 20 radio presets, and a programmable clock/timer. The boombox will run on AC current or six D batteries. Sony offers a warranty of one year on parts and 90 days on labor.

 possible bait and switch November 13, 2007
I really had my heart set on this paricular model boombox, only to be traumatized when another model was sent to me. The seller (kindly) admitted that they did not have what I ordered and took it upon themselves to substitute it with something else, all without bothering to tell me. In further searches, I have found that this advertized model, though still listed, is really not available anywhere.

This is a sturdy portable radio/cassette/CD player that almost sounds like a bookshelf stereo. Sound quality is excellent. I was replacing a radio/cassette/CD player that I had for years and I am very pleased with this product. It is great for parties, receptions and outdoor events.

when i listen to the relaxing classical album on zw770 its like a walk through the clouds.its all dreamy stuff.stuff of the legends.
