not too shabby December 26, 2004 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
i got this for christmas my freshman year in high school. it's now christmas of my senior year in high school, and it's still in perfect condition save a single scratch (i don't even remember it getting there) and the lettering's rubbed off alittle bit. it still plays like the day i bought it, and i use it like nothing else. i go through a set of headphones every three months, that's how much i use it, and how much i have used it for three years. if you want a quality cd player that will last through the apocolypse, this is the one. it never skips, is very sleek, and it plays any CD that is playable.
the only things that can hold the quality back on this player are the headphones you use and the batteries you buy.
one thing to keep an eye out for, though - the output jack is NOT the headphone jack. the headphone jack is on the right side, not the left. both will work, but the output jack offers no volume control.
The best portable CD player I've ever used May 20, 2004 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've had this CD player for almost two years, and I plan to keep it until it gives out. It has the best sound quality and the best bass of any portable CD player I've ever tried. Sony makes the best audio products of any brand I've ever used, so I knew when I was buying it that it would be good. The only complaint I have with it is that a few months after I got it, the left speaker on the headphones stopped working (but that was probably just the headphones), so I had to buy new ones, which weren't expensive, but it was slightly inconvenient. The battery life of this model is pretty good too, especially if you don't use the mega bass.
