Good player. Tough finding DC Adapter April 2, 2006 The player souded good and works fine, but trying to find the AY 3170 4.5V DC adapter has prooved to be very difficult, and it seems to eat up batteries pretty quick when I use it at work.
Good cd player November 27, 2003 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this CD player for $50! I thought it was great when i first got it. There are some things that could be improved, like the sound level is very low. The DBB is weak and most music distorts when you turn the DBB on. The remote was really cool. I liked the Intro scan feature. Ofcourse this cd player has repeat and shuffle. It has ok battery life. I wish it had a radio and better sound!
Solid CD player...Philips easily among the best October 29, 2003 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I happened to get this CD player at a good discount at an outlet store at a military base. The only difference is mine is green and silver. Anyways, this is a decent piece of machinery. Although it suffers from a bad bass boost, its slim body, easy-to-read display and durability will make it a favorite among many.
shut off May 26, 2003 I Owned the blue version of this CD player for about a year and loved it. I ended up giving it to a friend and it still works wonderfully. I bought this one as a replacement, it [is't good]. The original headphones hurt and the player was cheaply built. Mine is all scratched up on top and the lid is loose. That is of course expected eventually. The main problem I have with it is that it just randomly shuts off during playback. I tried to tape the open lid button because I thought that I was opening the lid in my pocket but that wasn't it. The lid does sometime open when you don't want it to. I still canyt figure out why it won't play but I am not happy with it. The skip protection doesn't work at all on mine either. The remote is pretty cool though. And the hold function is very nice when itys in your pocket.
