Product Description Come full circle. Sony's D-EJ100BLUE sports a cool new look, called Full Circle Design, which mirrors the look of a CD. It's slim and compact, but has great features like CD-R/RW playback, Skip-Free G-Protection Technology, and Digital Mega Bass Sound. But what's really awesome about this Walkman is the clip-on style remote control, which gives you the ability to easily operate your player. The extended battery life is also impressive - over 50 hours of continuous playback with just 2 "AA" batteries. Accessories include h.ear stereo headphones and clip style remote control.
Amazon.com Product Description Sony's D-EJ100 augments its great sound and extensive features with a stylish, blue, full-circle exterior. And at a mere .94 inches thick, this Walkman lives up to its name, traveling with ease in pocket, purse, or backpack. Playback options include 32-track programming, repeat (track, disc, or program), random play, and an amazing 50 hours of playback from a pair of standard AA batteries (not included). A clip-on remote makes it easy to operate the player while you're on the go, and Sony's "h.ear" clip-on headphones are designed for streamlined comfort. "Active use" is a key phrase for this player: Sony's Skip-Free G-Protection boosts the laser pickup's shock protection to minimize read errors that would otherwise interrupt your music, providing quick recovery from both horizontal and vertical shocks. The D-EJ100's heat-resistant lid helps protect the player against high-temperature build up, especially when you're using it outdoors or in a vehicle. You can hook the player up with your home system through an analog stereo "Y" interconnect. Should your music require it, the Walkman's Digital Mega Bass Sound engages digital processing to enhance your music with deep, authentic bass tones. Bookmark playback lets you program your favorite songs from multiple CDs and play them back at the touch of a button, and Sony's automatic volume limiter system (AVLS) conserves batteries--and guards your hearing--by capping your listening level at either of two settings. The player may be used with optional AC/DC power adapters (AC-E45HG or -E45A) or car accessories (vehicle power cord: DCC-E345 or -E34CP, car kit CPA-9). What's in the Box CD player, headphones, a remote control, a user's manual, and warranty information.

Used to be my favorite product February 13, 2007 I used this earlier version of the sony "Psyc" walkman a LOT while it was still working. It lasted nearly a year with no problems. Then my dog jumped up at me unexpectedly and got her claws caught in the wires. The walkman smashed down onto the floor.
The buttons on the player itself stopped responding. Fortunately I could still use the so-called "Remote control". But then I snagged the wire on a doorknob and destroyed that as well.
I think I would pay extra to have a wireless version of this product.
Sony D-EJ100 January 19, 2007 I recently dropped my Sony D-EJ100, and now it is acting the same way others have described: even when a disc is inserted, it fails to recognize the disc and just keeps searching for it, while displaying the blinking "disc" message that it normally does only when the player is empty. However, before I dropped it, it worked *great* for roughly two years. I couldn't be more impressed with the sound quality on this thing. I have some semi-high end headphones ($70 Grado SR60s - I highly recommend those, by the way), and for good sound I actually prefer to use them with this walkman than with my home stereo system! That's impressive for a portable player, in my book. I should also mention that I've dropped the Walkman several times before - although never nearly as hard as the last time - and it always continued working. It did have some occasional playback abnormalities as described by others, but nothing permanent by any means. Overall, I have really enjoyed this player. However, I probably will get a Panasonic as my next pair; based on the reviews here, I think I merely got lucky by getting a reliable Sony...my next one probably wouldn't work so well.
great cd player December 14, 2006 this cd player has lasted great. i've had it for 2+ years and its still in pretty good condition. i've dropped it from about 2 and a half feet almost once every week and it still sounds fine. of course time has tooken its toll and the sensor is getting a little weak so its stops every once in a while, but its a small price to pay for such a great cd player. unfortunately they don't have it in stock right now in amazon, so get it somewhere else. it should only cost like 30 dollars. its awesome cuz you start off where you stopped last time. BEST CD PLAYER EVER! for rock lovers, get "koss UR/10" head phones. HEAVY BASS!
its good April 3, 2006 I bought this a couple years ago and it cost less than half of what it costs now. But last summer my friend droped it on the floor and messed it up so it wouldnt play. I was also haveing other trobles like a part inside the cd came apart so id have to shake it sometimes to get it to work. i like the headphone becase they stay in your ears. its a good cd play in all. The sound was pretty good to. the battery was good it lasted for a while.
=_=u some people were lucky March 26, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought it last year, mine only lasted two weeks only, I was hearing my cd of U2 on my break at work... then stopped, the lcd window showed a strange pattern and turn off, later when i tried to restart, the buttons were mixed up...
i didn't get any refund because the store told me that was my fault (a circuit burned), the funny thing, I worked at that store and my cd player was always in my locker... safe...
a co-worker (who exchanged my cd player for another one behind my boss back) told me that some customers had trouble with the same one...
at the end i ended with a RCA player and quit my job two months later, and this one got bad luck because it fell from the second floor of my new job... (my new boss is at fault XD) right into the pool... ^^U but even after that my rca player is still working o_oU...
=_= sound like a joke but i can believe that the quality of sony got that bad... now i need to research more before my next purchase of a sony product
