It's a nice touch for the escort detector. The only complain is that I can't leave even the wire visible in the car because it's a dead giveaway that you have a high priced descort detector in your car for people to steal.

I DON'T KNOW IF IT WORKED OR NOT. I RETURNED IT BECAUSE THE MANUFACTURE OF THE RADAR DETECTOR TOLD ME IF I USED IT THEY WOULD VOID THE FACTORY WARRANTY ON THE DETECTOR.
I RETURNED IT AND HAVE NOT RECEIEVED A REFUND AS OF YET.

I bought this to go with the Escort Solo 2. Works great, has the mute button right down where it is handy to use.

If you own an Escort with the mute button on the detector, you should buy one of these adapters now! You can avoid constantly reaching up to mute - and occasionally knocking the detector off the window/visor when pressing the mute botton. Sounds silly but it happens and it's not just a nuisance - it's difficult/dangerous to put it back in place while driving.
