Product Description This Portable CD Player is a little under an inch thick and weighs a mere 6.1 ounces without the battery. You'll hardly notice it during your busy day, but you'll be glad you have it with you.Panasonic Portable CD Players are designed to reduce or eliminate CD skipping during most active uses. There is even a backup memory feature that helps provide further assurance of a skip-free listening experience. The built-in Digital Tuner lets you catch FM or AM radio, in addition to your MP3 and CD-DA tunes. You can even program up to 30 stations into the player's preset memory for easy access while you're on the move.MP3 is the most popular and widely used digital audio compression format available today. Since MP3 files are so small, you can burn a library of music onto CD-R/RWs from a compatible computer and play them back on your Panasonic Portable CD Player.

Best CD/MP3 Player I've Had January 9, 2007 This player has wonderful quality. It's easy to use, the battery life is great, multi sound features along with easy tracking.
GREAT PLAYER BUT NO TITLES ON CD/MP3 November 15, 2006 This unit is really great sounding and has wonderful features: PROS: 1) AM/FM radio (this is rare for find an AM in any player) 2) Wonderful sound
CONS: 1) Uses AAA batteries, most players use AA 2) No name tags for songs 3) Hard to navigate on the folders This was my FIRST CD MP3 player. I have since bought the Sony Atracs, Blue Psyc and the White 430, both of which have TV and weather as well. And they have the name of the songs. And run on ONE AA battery with longer playback time.
Pretty good CD player June 17, 2006 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Having owned this device for several weeks, I can say that I am pretty pleased with it. Panasonic SL-CT579V proves to be a reliable CD player, very lightweight and easy to operate. I was bit surprised how well the radio work, the reception proves to be far above average. The battery life is pretty good, it support MP3 CDs and have bass boost.
The only real weakness to this CD player was the headphones that came with it. If you got a tin ear...it perfect for you. If you want to listen to quality sound, buy a better headphones and chuck the ones that came with this CD into the trash.
Overall, a pretty good portable CD player, easy to carry around and got a great anti-skip device built in.
