The player boasts a sleek, round housing with an attractive blue cover that snaps down securely during playback. More significantly, the unit plays more than just prerecorded CDs, with compatibility for both CD-R/RW discs and compressed MP3 files burned onto a CD-R/RW. The expanded playback options give users access to far more of their digital music library each time they leave the house. For the price this is a great portable cd player. I use mine mainly when traveling on a plane cross country and it works great. I could not ask for more. I actually have bought two of these. One for me and one for my grandaughter. We both still use them - even though she has advanced to an MP3 player. She still likes this because she can carry it around with her in the house and use it when her MP3 player is recharging. It may not be high tech, but it works just fine. Thank you very much. I have always trusted Panasonic and still do.

It came in the mail, put a CD in it, worked beautifully. A few days later, put a CD in it, wouldn't work at all. It really is a cheap piece of work. I know you get what you pay for, but this wasn't worth what I paid. I was really disappointed.

if you like to put in a mp3 cd and hit play it sounds great and plays everything, good luck if you want to play in the dark or use the controls. you need a magnfying glass to see the buttons which don't stand out and to see the minute display. I prefer the iriver if you can find one for a few bucks more.

Love my Panasonic SL-SX480 but I was really disappointed to find there is not an adapter outlet on the player. I have an old CD player from way back and it had an adapter. Never thought there wouldn't be one on the ones manufactured in this day and time. Love the resume feature.

Yep,this is the best CD walkman-style player I've owned.
It reproduces sound very well and is easier on battery life than the pevious player i had-(a JVC model). It is twice as light in weight as the JVC. I recommend it! The only con is that the battery compartment is accessible only thru opening the player up as if you were inserting a CD.
Yuu need to be careful to avoid touching the laser lens when inserting new batteries. I hope it lasts longer than my JVC did (which was about 1.5 yrs-it now won't read CD's.)
