Product Description
Several companies make speakers for use with the Apple iPod. JVC RV-NB20 proceeds to the next level. Boasting a total of 52 Watts of sonic power, JVC RV-NB20 Kaboom offers two 6.5" subwoofers (20 Watts per channel each) and two 3.25" full-range speakers (6 watts per channel each) for lusciously big, pulsating sound. It also adds a CD Player (plays CD - CDR - CDRW - MP3 CD) and a digitally-tuned AM/FM radio tuner. There's still more! It has a built-in dock to fit most dockable iPods for simple play yhrough the sound system. Don't own an iPod? Plug your digital media player (MP3 or MP4) into the miniplug input and listen through the Kaboom. In addition, the Kaboom also has an input for a guitar so you can use it as an instrument amplifier. All points considered, this is way beyond a mere iPod speaker system. It takes compact entertainment systems up to a whole new plateau. You deserve the best portable sound around. Get Kaboom! 5 out of 5 stars Kaboom!! WOW!   July 11, 2008

If you like big sound, then stop looking! Super power Bass. You will need a power supply and inverter for this bad boy. I find the radio very good. I have a distant station I love and many other radios cant't pick it up,but the Kaboom does it well. This unit CRANKS love it.

In 1980 I bought a JVC RCM70JW BoomBox. I will pass it on to the grand kids. It still works great. However, the new RVNB20 is the latest and greatest. Big Bass & Clear highs. It has all the hookups you could need to play your favorite music. Super product.

5 out of 5 stars Best Sounding Boombox, Bar None!!!!   April 25, 2008

I think this is the best sounding boombox of any boombox I've listened to. But be aware that it takes a lot of batteries and large magnets in the speakers to make good loud music and this adds to the weight of the unit. This sucker is heavy and bulky to carry. If you want something conviently portable, move on - this isn't for you.

If you want to annoy everyone in a 50 yard radius on the beach this is for you - but remember the spare batteries.

4 out of 5 stars large   April 18, 2008
It is large , everything worked, for how large it is , it is not all that loud, but loud enough for me. You would'nt carry it around or anything. The guitar amp works, and I think it sounds about like a $60 amp. The ipod connector cable only appears to work on this unit.

5 out of 5 stars Works great, great sound.   April 7, 2008
Great product and gives a nice sound. It is quite heavy, so if you are a small person, pick something else if portability is an issue. It is very rugged as a consequence. No complaints. Docu could make you think you plug in a guitar and a mike, but you may key in either or. Aux in worked fine with my ipod, I have not tried the regular slot. Nice having the subwoofer and regular volume as separate controls. Like the white color, gives a clean look.
