 Very Easy To Do November 20, 2008
I replaced two iPod batteries using these kits. One was for an iPod mini and the other was for an iPod 30GB Video. The mini was a little bit easier to replace but both took me less than 15 minutes to replace each. All I did was search for videos online on how to do it and followed the directions. It was worth not paying the $60 to have apple replace the battery. Both iPods are working like new.

Ultimately you will ruin your ipod by taking it apart with their tools. battery will work but the controls will not!! You pay your money, you take your chance!!

It worked but the installation instruction was challenging September 9, 2008
I brought this battery for my iPod mini. After I opened it, I found the installation instruction was for the iPod Classic. Undeterred, I went to cnet.com and found a 3-part videos on how to replace the battery on a iPod mini. For me, I prefer video over little text any day of the week. The videos were great, still it was difficult to replace (be very patience and little coaching help), and eventually got it working nicely. So, 4 stars for me.
My iPod Mini is back! September 6, 2008
I ordered the iPod Mini Battery Replacement Kit from The Battery Center which took roughly a week to arrive in the mail. Under the recommendation of several other Amazon reviewers, I skipped the packaged directions and went directly to Cnet.com for video instructions on how to replace the battery. The step-by-step video instructions were very easy to follow and took me no more than 10 mins to replace the battery.
Recommendation - before putting your iPod back together, make sure to remove all dust particles that may have gotten within the interior sections of the iPod, especially from the iPod's viewing screen. Otherwise you're going to have to look at a bunch of dust each time you use your iPod, plus I'm pretty sure having dust within the interior of the iPod isn't good.
Con - removing the plastic from the top and bottom of the iPod with the flathead screwdriver did damage my iPod a little bit. You have to be very patient as it will take some time to pry off. I'm someone who takes very good care of my electronics so I was disappointed about that.
