 Great for my toddler! November 13, 2008
I bought this as a case and speaker for my Classic 30G iPod so that my 2 year old could watch his movies in the car. It's worked very well! He's watched Cars 3 times without having to recharge the speaker at all. (I have had to recharge the iPod though.)
My only complaints: I had to make a minor modification to the case. I covered up the open click wheel so little fingers couldn't change the settings. (I used the plastic from the box it came in and clear packaging tape. Easy.) I plan to buy screen protector film to cover the open screen. It would also be nice to be able to charge the speaker from an adaptor instead of only the USB connection to a computer. It *looks* like a Motorola charger opening on the speaker, but I'm afraid to try with my phone charger.
Long story short, for the price, convenience, compact design, durability, and HUGE toddler satisfaction it's well worth the minor issues.
 A great idea with a strange and flawed design. November 4, 2008
The product was flimsier than it looks (and there is no protection for your iPod screen). The sound is tinny and there is no adjustment. You cannot use it and charge the iPod at the same time. When the battery runs down it will become useless, because there doesn't appear to be any way to open the speaker case to replace it. On a positive note, the cost was low, and by the time it dies I'll likely have moved onto a better product anyway. But for now, for watching video without needing headphones (which was my reason for the purchase) it should be fine.
