Product Description Its so small it fits in the palm of your hand! This space-saving mini keyboard with its compact key pitch requires less stretching of the fingers. The shorter keystroke uses less effort while keyboarding making it ideal for users who may have restricted arm, hand or finger movement. It is also great for small footprint computers or in tight spaces such as on server racks or at crowded LAN stations.

Umm...when they say super mini, they aren't kidding... July 1, 2008 Nothing wrong with the quailty, I just didn't quite realize that they were not messing around when they say "Super Mini". Pay attention to the dimentions and you will be fine. If you don't, you will be returning it like I did. My bad...
The Rating Depends on How Desperate You Are October 10, 2007 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
That's a fairly cryptic heading for this rating, but it's true. I am not a touch typist, but after 50+ years of typing with two fingers and a thumb (for the space bar), I can get up to 70 wpm if the words come quickly to me.
I bought this because I have a Sony micro-PC (VGN-UX280P) which has a usable keyboard, but mostly for thumbs. I may not be gentle, but I'm not all thumbs or a 12 year old that can send a 200 word TM in 6 seconds. I needed something small, to go with the PC if only to keep the travel weight down.
Anyway, I tend to type straight downward rather than softly and at an angle. I don't pound, but the first thing I noticed is that I really have to hit the key hard on this mini in order to get it to register. Perhaps there's something wrong with the keyboard, but it's consistent and I figure I'll learn to deal with it.
The second thing to get used to is the position of the ' which is not on the second row from the bottom as it is with every other keyboard, but on the first row under the " mark. I use the ' quite a lot, and that really will take some getting used to.
But then I had to remember why I got this, and I could give it four stars for putting so much in so little space. It is comfortable. It is easier to use than the built-in keypad on the Sony. And it was bought for minor emergencies while traveling. It fills that bill.
It does have a fairly long cable and it is a USB 2.0 compatible, but I'm sure there are some people who would prefer a shorter cable... But on the brighter side, it works at 0 centigrade! If you're fishing through a hole on some iced lake in Minnesota, you have plenty of time on your hands. These are all minor considerations for someone who is carrying a computer while fishing.
3.5 stars would probably be a better rating, but so long as you know that this is not to be considered your primary keyboard, and shouldn't be bought because it's "cute," it is certainly worth the price. It's much better than the built-in keyboard, and about half as good as my non-Hobbit keyboard. At $31 plus shipping, well worth it. (See my review of the Bluetooth keyboard that I returned a while back. Small and wobbly. This one doesn't wobble and communicates very well.)

Tiny but good June 12, 2006 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
It didn't fully register how small an 8x4-inch keyboard is until I was holding it in the palm of my hand. This thing is tiny! It is too small for everyday use, but that's not why I bought it. I switched to full-size wireless keyboards ages ago, but there are still times when a wired USB keyboard is essential. Sometimes wireless keyboards fail, and some changes (like BIOS tweaks) usually require a wired keyboard. So I bought this tiny guy because it takes up no space in my spare parts box and it's there when I need it. I put it through its paces and so far I am very pleased.
